On this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” former FBI Director James Comey said that the
Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on the launch of the FBI’s Russia
probe’s use of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) was unacceptable.

Comey said, “He’s right. I was wrong. I was overconfident as director in our procedures of the
FBI and Justice have built over 20 years years. I thought they were robust enough. It’s incredibly
hard to get a FISA. I was overconfident in those because he’s right, there was real sloppiness — 17
things that should have been in the application or at least discussed and characterized differently.
It was not acceptable, so he’s right. I was wrong.”

On this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) reacted to Justice Department
Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on the launch of the FBI’s Russia probe.

He said had he known two years ago that FBI was abusing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA),
he would have called them out.

Schiff said, “I’m certainly willing to admit that the inspector general found serious abuses of FISA that
I was unaware of. Had I known of them, I would have called out the FBI at the same time. But I think it’s
only fair to judge what we know at the time, not what would be revealed two years later, but yes, there
were very serious abuses of the FISA process, they need to be corrected, we need to make sure they never
happen again.”

In retrospect, I'm beginning to think Comey actually thought he was telling the truth. Don't think he would have set himself up like that.

Have to give him credit for going on Fox News and facing Chris Wallace too. He could have gone on CNN or MSNBC to respond, he could of sat down with Chuck Todd on Sunday. Each and every one of those shills would of given him cover, instead he walked into the hornets nest.

What does this all mean? He really sucked at his job, Trump was right about that too.

Please don't give credit to Comey for anything except the crimes that he commited and will probably get away with.
Chris Wallace is and has always been a never Trumper.

Chris Wallace didn't give Comey cover like the other networks would have. And while he doesn't always give Trump positive coverage, he's far from a Never Trumper. His interview of Comey proved that.

Chris understands now that Trump got fucked with respect to this Russian Collusion investigation

I don't agree with Chris on everything, but I don't agree with anybody on everything. I'll even go so far as saying he's left of center, but he's nowhere near Chuck Todd or any other major network who are all out in deep left stratosphere

I'd also say that in 2016, when he moderated the debate, it was the first time in my life I thought we actually had an adult moderating the debate

Part II of my response

It's also plausible that Comey is using this "I didn't know" line as cover for pending criminal charges.

I'm not really defending him, I'm thinking things through, which is what I tend to do

[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]Chris Wallace has taken a hard left turn. Not sure why other than he's auditioning for a spot at CNN.

Maybe he just thinks Trump is an asshole, which he can be. :)

I love Trump in the policy arena, he's the best POTUS in my lifetime in the policy arena, even better than Ronnie. I'm 100% in his corner

Sometimes he enters arguments he should avoid, and more than one person from the NYC business circles say he's a real bastard to deal with in business. I think the NYC hobnobbers in elite social circles don't like him much, I think Chris Wallace might fall into that category

I have turned on Comey again. After rehashing his body of work, much of it found right here on this forum, I have concluded he is a lying piece of shit. Fuck him

The one thing that influences me most? His leaking of his memos to a reporter to make sure they were printed and to make sure a Special Prosecutor was appointed.

There's no plausible deniability for those actions. Guilty guilty guilty
