The Bradley effect alone gives McCain the win...:drink:

See my other story.. McCain/GOP been sitting on a boatload of cash.. $160m to be exact.. NRA has $40m up their sleeve also to combat Obama's gun rights bullshit, and supposedly Rove is doing some consultation with the 527's and helping coordinate a big effort in the final weeks.

There's gonna be a strong fight put up by McCain here at the end!

Desperation? What the hell are you talking about? This has been the strategy. To let Obama outspend them 4-1 on ads and oversaturate the market too early. They are now on equal ground for the final 3 weeks..

If this is desperation, then what is Obama buying up 30-minute ads on the networks one week before the election?

Because he can and because he's going to spend the money he's raised. But if McCain and his allies go all out attacking it will look desperate and it's not going to sell in an environment where people are worried about the economy and looking for answers, not attacks. It's just a terrible environmewnt for McCain. There's really nothing he can do except go down in a classy fashion or as a disgrace.

LOL.. So McCain/RNC shouldn't spend their bankroll either? If he does it's desperation?

LOL.. My you fool.. Obama has been attacking and lying about every single Mccain position for the past 6 weeks, you just sit there and soak it up like a sponge.

Of course they should, but it's not going to matter. What they need to do is present whate they are going to do that would help the economy. Problem is they have nothing.

Doing nothing absolutely CRUSHES Obama's plan of "taxing the rich". I actually prefer nothing over everything the government has done so far.

But supposedly they are going to announce a good free-market plan this week. I don't see how you can criticize them for keeping their best gunpowder dry.

I understand what you prefer, but what does that have to do with winning the election? Nothing. Good luck to McCain trying to sell a "free market" plan right now. He won't, because he knows it won't help him get elected.

LOL about sitting on money...I don't doubt that but I don't quite think being outspent on paid media the last month while allowing a crisis to define you to some voters is part of a master plan.

Spending will tighten but something tells me Obama may be sitting on some cash of his own if he just bought 30 minute time slots on the Friday before the election for on at least 3 of the major networks.

I fully expect the national race to climb back to a 3-6 point margin but don't act like getting their asses kicked all over the place the last month is some ploy. People are already voting, images are being defined in terms of the financial crisis, ect. We'll see a better next few weeks out of McCain but I'm not quite sure it's enough and it may be a bit late.

It's already within those margins, but you can keep living in fantasy land if you wish.

RCP avg now is OBama +7.3. All of the national polls have numbers released the last few days and they are 7,6,6,8,11,7,8,7. So to say that it's within the 3 to 6 margin right now isn't really right. Throw away the 11. It's 6 to 8 right now. 3 to 6 is different.

These are all of the polling numbers released today according to realclearpolitics a right wing biased company. If this is what is considered a good day for McCain i don't want to know what a bad day is:
Sunday, October 12<table style="width: 598px;" class="sortable" width="598" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0"><thead><tr class="alt"><th class="clickable" style="width: 160px;">Race (Click to Sort)</th><th class="sorttable_nosort" style="width: 150px;">Poll</th><th class="sorttable_nosort" style="width: 185px;">Results</th><th class="sorttable_nosort" style="width: 115px;">Spread</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr class=""><td>National</td><td>Gallup Tracking</td><td>Obama 50, McCain 43</td><td>Obama +7</td></tr><tr class="alt"><td>National</td><td>Rasmussen Tracking</td><td>Obama 51, McCain 45</td><td>Obama +6</td></tr><tr class=""><td>National</td><td>Reuters/CSpan/Zogby Tracking</td><td>Obama 49, McCain 43</td><td>Obama +6</td></tr><tr class="alt"><td>National</td><td>Hotline/FD Tracking</td><td>Obama 49, McCain 41</td><td>Obama +8</td></tr><tr class=""><td>California</td><td>Rasmussen</td><td>Obama 56, McCain 40</td><td>Obama +16</td></tr><tr class="alt"><td>Colorado</td><td>PPP (D)</td><td>Obama 52, McCain 42</td><td>Obama +10</td></tr><tr class=""><td>Nevada</td><td>LVRJ/Mason-Dixon</td><td>Obama 47, McCain 45</td><td>Obama +2</td></tr><tr class="alt"><td>Pennsylvania</td><td>Morning Call Tracking</td><td>Obama 51, McCain 39</td><td>Obama +12</td></tr><tr class=""><td>Delaware</td><td>West Chester Univ.</td><td>Obama 56, McCain 38</td><td>Obama +18</td></tr></tbody></table>

Also a nice trend line (based on an average of all of the national polling data) for McCain. He basically needs a miracle to pull this thing out:

It should also be noted that there will be days where Obama's lead won't grow and ma drop a point or two. Thats a not a big deal. Its whether McCain can gain traction in the opposite direction and at this point the answer is a resounding no.

Thanks for your piss poor analysis.

This is a 4 or 5 point race no matter how much of the media hype you try to chew on.

And mccain's piss poor campaign is basically relying on racism (Bradley effect) to win this race. And Its a 6-8 point race, not a 4-5 point race. And even a 4-5 point race is a landslide especially with the way the electoral votes are lining up for Obama:

Projections from fivethirtyeight.com:

1011_mainchart.png

http://pollster.com/ has Obama with 320 Electoral Votes vs. McCains 158 leaving 60 as toss up.

Realclearpolitics.com has

Obama/Biden 277
dem-solid.gif
211 Solid
dem-leaning.gif
66 Leaning

McCain/Palin 158
gop-solid.gif
143 Solid
gop-leaning.gif
15 Leaning

Toss Up 103
toss-up.gif
103 Toss Up

Electoral-vote.com has it:
Obama 343 McCain 184 Ties 11

Basically no matter which model you use (left wing biased or right biased) you get the same result, an Obama electoral landslide.

McCain has virtually no chance of winning any Kerry states and IOwa is an Obama lock. That's 259. McCain would need to somehow run the table and hold everywhere else -- around 10 to 12 legit chances for Obama. It's a 10-team parlay for McCain now. We know how well those tend to turn out.

The real question is, how many days after the election until you return to this forum and admit how wrong you were?

Call the election before the real campaign has actually began? Wow, Only retarded liberals.
