It was a foreign policy debate, not a economy debate... How many times did Hussain Obama mention Rev. Wright?

wow the republican party represented in this thread. this is who would vote for McCain/Palin.

Brilliance.

Soonerfanjames go back and watch the first 45 minutes of the debate, there was a ton of economic content.

DonDotta as a member of the middle class I was just in tune to how in tune McCain was to my family. I was not surprised when I did not hear him mention the middle class.

C-Gold I am happy to see the Obama has the maturity to agree with McCain. It gives me hope for bipartisanship. Neither one of these guys was is right all of the time.

and to answer your question I believe it was 5 but I am still looking for someone to give me under 20.

Well "believe" is only an estimate... Im pretty sure it was 8 times... And if you think Obama tax cut will put a substantial(sorry for spelling) amount of money in your pocket you are crazy.

Don I know what the tax breakdown is for both of the candidates plans. Wanna tell me how much you make I will tell you how much they propose to tax your income.

I am informed.

As far as spelling get firefox and get the spelling add-on. It makes everyone look a little more intelligent.

Lastly this thought that Obama agreeing is a bad thing just shows the desperate need people need for partisanship. You see it is your partisanship that makes you comfortable being uninformed.

It was not a foreign policy debate. They spent "a little under 50 % of the time talking about the economical crisis" - Wolf Blitzer...

How many times does John McCain need to mention Ronald Reagan. I counted 6-8 times. I like the old guy, but he is way out of his league here. He knew it too, hence why he wanted to postpone/cancel this debate.

Did you watch the debate? If you did, did you pay attention? Nearly the entire first half dealt with the current economic crisis.

wreaking of ignorance here Don. like i said let me know if you would like the figures. my guess is you don't. it is more convenient to be uninformed and just use smileys.

My Take on Overall Strategy & Themes

McCain shifted his approach tonight. He had a nice bump in the polls when he was able to successfully co-opt Obama's change theme over the last few weeks, until last week. But he shifted tonight and seemed to kind of go away from co-opting Obama's change meme. Instead, he went more back to his prior theme: the inexperience argument. That was McCain's original argument that for numerous reasons (cough cough Palin) they had kind of gone away from, primarily because it wasn't working and didn't work for Hillary. But now it's back to the "this guy is too risky" meme. But, while McCain did get in some decent jabs, if you were watching to see if Obama was presidential enough, whether he was competent enough, etc. you probably came away quite satisfied. He was calm and cool and confident.

The problem is McCain made his comeback by trying to co-opt Obama's message. I think he ran away from that tonight and that is a bad mistake for him.

Fits the helter skelter Obama campaign pattern, flailing away and movign back and forth while trying to figure out what might work. Meanwhile, Obama has been much more even, steady, consistent....he's been usiing the same themes and message for 19 months.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the helter skelter approach has ever proven to be successful in politics.

Don, when you get out of college, and start working, if you ever get out of mommy and daddy's nest, you might realize the difference. Make no mistake... Obama is no Bill Clinton. The country will get better under him compared to Mr. Bill who did just what you fear. Of course you dont remember that. Try deciding for yourself, instead of what mommy and daddy tell you. We really should increase the voting age ...
