After he had a much better championship day then Henry looking for opinions here.
Does anyone think McCaffrey may have passed Henry in the Heisman voting?

no, because the Notre Dame game hurt Mccaffrey. Henry went for 279 yards that week and Mccaffry didn't get 100.

Unfortunately no, the media has already handed Henry the Trophy, plus West Coast bias. One game shouldn't make or break a candidate. The kid has been doing it all year, but lived in the shadow of Goff first in the Pac 12, then Henry and Fournette.

Went to the game last night and the kid was absolutely awesome. 461 total yards; threw for a td, ran for one, passed for another and had a bunch of return yardage, over 100. I'll say this, he's probably the most versatile back in the nation. Has to be, broke Sander's 28 year old record.

He didn't have much ink during the season, so sneaking him in now would seem far fetch. Runner up?

I think this is it. I think the voters have the mindset that ND D was his challenge and he under preformed. Henry probably gets it, and like all other recent Bama backs will be a bust.

D Watson is deserving more than any player imo.

Derrick Henry broke Herschel Walker's record for rushing yards in a single season and almost reached 2000 yards on the season. Henry will win it...

A white runningback from a left coast academic university? Haha. Take a lesson from 2009.

Would be the prefect back for brady

My thought exactly!! No QB EVER has done more w/less than Brady. I defy anyone else to lose a consensus All Pro TE, starting LT, RB, top 2 WR, Etc etc. Rodgers lost 1 WR and fell apart. Pats should do whatever it takes to get him!!!

Andrew Luck was snubbed twice, Toby Gerhart and John Elway were also denied,
all of them 2nd place Heisman candidates that were white and from Stanford.

The only Stanford player to ever win the trophy was Jim Plunkett, another white
boy but that was way back in 1970 before blacks were even recruited in the south.

My fav. #7 was voted the PAC10's MVP on "All Century" team. Could be debated I gues as there were some greats, OJ,Fouts, Boselli, Marcus, list goes on & on. How John didn't get it will always amaze me, I almost forgot the GOAT @ LT Anthony Munoz!!

You may differ but I thought...

Peyton Manning should have won over Michigan DB Charles Woodson.
Adrian Peterson (1925 yds) should have won over USC QB Matt Leinard.
Bo Jackson (won once) should have won another over Iowa QB Chuck Long.
Marshall Faulk RB, San Diego St. should have won over Miami QB Gino Torretta.
Larry Fitzgerld, WR Pitt should have won over Oklahoma QB Jason White.
Jerry Rhome, QB Tulsa got robbed by Notre Dame QB John Huarte.

Where am I wrong?

I just want to ask a question, and I've seen some of McCaffrey's highlights, like father like son. But Henry ran for a buck eighty-nine against a defense so much better than SC has fielded in decades. Not to mention he set a new SEC rushing bar. How would you not give him the trophy???

not a chance, tie goes to the SEC...even though most Alabama RB's show in the NFL that they were a product of the Bama O-line and system

Name me a school that's had more starting backs in the NFL in a season. Let's see, Ingram, Lacey, Richardson, Yeldon,......I like Henry's chances here since he ran heads and shoulders above that crew.

Not Richardson. Complete bust. He's not even on a teams practice roster. It does seem Alabama has used less runningback by committee than previous years, so Henry has that going for him.

Yeah, my bad. Third overall pick and went downhill faster than Lindsey Vonn. That being said, they've put out some pretty good RB's. I think Henry will do well in the NFL, attitude is what any coach could pray for.

don't forget Hugh Green over George Rogers (or Herschel for that matter) ... biggest Heisman blunder in my lifetime selecting him over Green or Herschel

still, i don't really see how it's not Henry. Set SEC single-season record for yards and TD's, on nation's #2 team, and had best games against the best defenses. The only power-5 team he didn't run for at least 127 was Arkansas (95 yards) and he scored a rushing TD in every game.

Mccaffrey failed to score a rushing TD in 8 of his 13 games and team lost the two games he underperformed. maybe he sneaks in if Watson splits some south vote with Henry but I see Henry deservedly winning in a landslide by 1000 points

Henry will win the Heisman.

Without him, Bama would not be in the playoffs.

Henry had more yards, a better yard per carry and he BLEW AWAY the competition on Touchdowns. The choir is trying to build some anticipation so that people will tune in.....but Henry will be the hands down easy Winner.
