Throughout the world, 3 May serves as an occasion to inform the public of violations of the right to freedom of expression and as a reminder that many journalists brave death or jail to bring people their daily news. This year, World Press Freedom Day (WPFD) is dedicated to the theme "Media and Good Governance".


The ego's on these demi-socialist-communist spinmeisters is astronomical. What a bunch of self absorbed blowhards to think they have any importance whatsoever. Most journalists in America should be in jail as co conspirators in the dumbing down of America with their liberal spun garbage they call "news". A day of freedom from there lies and twisted left wing ideology is all I ask for.

CBS....hard left can't name one who I would associate with the right..
NBC....tilts left but watches out what they do and say cause of advertisers etc

Ex President of CBS News had an interview on Fox about 3 months ago and ran through what was going on at CBS back in the 80's,90's and wasn't a Rightwing agenda!

FYI, the author is Bernard Goldberg, former CBS anchor, and

he wrote "Bias" and "Arrogance" both of which clearly and
indisputably document the media left-wing bias.

Note that he does not claim a conspiracy, just an elist assumption
that their views must be correct and therefore it is perfectly ok
to bias the news (or to attempt to influence the Presidential
election with obviously false documents ala Dan Rather).

I am going to check out that book, I want to see what it has to say. I'm curious though, since this is just one man's account of things, why I should treat it as gospel. Maybe you can read Eric Alterman's book "What Liberal Media?: The Truth about Bias and the News" and we can compare notes.

I know he writes for a decidedly liberal publication - The Nation, I believe. I think he also does some stuff for MSNBC. I haven't read the book myself, just known that it is out there and have been wanting to read it - however I can't vouch for its quality. I actually plan on reading both of them, although it may take me a while. I just figured it might be interesting reading for you, even if you're inclined to disagree with its conclusions.
