Thanks Rob that is cool...I have always assumed 350x5 =400 (actually 408) so i was right on , I think thats a little high...funny thing is 300X5= 350 actually lower when its pro rated...I would think the higher up the less it would be..

300X5=350
350X5=408

My joints were being punished far too often benching heavy...I rarely workout with more than 250 anymore...I get the same results and never injured or have aching joints...this way I don't miss workouts mending from sore shoulders...

I use to do some crazy stuff...Benching , not warming up, would just get on the bench and do a 5 rep set with very high weight with no warm-up...Now i would never do that, but back then it was normal for me....

Journeyman, that's good stuff. I was able to "max" at 305 about 5 years ago (when I was 30). I was lifting heavy and wanted to "get big". I realized I don't have the body to "get big". Now when I do flat bench I usually get up to 225 and do 4-6 reps then go back to 205, 185, 135 (pyramid).
