Today the Dallas Mavericks will announce a trade for Antoine Walker and Tony Delk. The Mavericks will give up Rafe LaFrentz, Jiri Welsh, Chris Mills, and a 2004 first round draft pick. Great deal for the Mavs. They finally get rid of LaFrentz's huge contract, and bring in yet another 3 point shooter. Rumors say that the Mavs think Walker can play some center. No way. I think that the Mavs will deal Walker before the trade deadline to get a power forward or center. Watch out Lakers and Spurs.

Are u ****in kidding me??? they will give up 105 points on average with this defense, they have no inside game, no defense, all of them are ball hugs....i think dallas might do another trade and get a real center and get rid of frickin Walker. with this lineup they can lineup on the three point line and just pass around until there is an open shot....but you need to make stops on the D to win anything in the NBA

One way of making a team tired on offense is to make them work hard on defense. i know what you are sayig tho, it looks bad on paper. But maybe this might work. Antoine Walker will open the offensive end for the Mavs and can help them in a lot of ways. Sure he isn't a defensive stopper, but who is on the mavs?
It might be crazy enough to work for the Mavs. Once they develop together as a group anything is possible. Team defense- everyone has to believe in the man next to them that they can do a job.
Mavs may well trade Walker somewhere else, thats fair enough. But i think they are extremely happy with this deal and will ride it out. they don't have nothing inside on defense...nowitzki gonna guard shaq? or any center in the west. my opinion he cant...then they gotta bring in bradley to play d on him...u gotta sit one of them out....you do that they get upset and start bitching and there goes the chemistry...walker complained for not playing enough in the all star game how do u think he will feel if he sits out in regular season games....i dont think they will trade antawn...thats why they made that trade with the warriors is to get him...either walker goes or they have trouble on defense...well i guess you could say they will give a lot of teams trouble but you don't win with jumpshots in the nba but with layups and freethrows...i think we will see a lot of threes shot by dallas (more then last year) i just dont think you can win that way.
