Personally, I think Sanchez should of stayed another year at USC. Playing College vs. pro are two different things. I don't think he has the experience yet. Even though the press conference with Carroll was wrong, it seems to me that Carroll knew he wasn't ready....also for that matter, Carroll isn't ready for who will QB USC next season.

I hate to say it, but Sanchez may be the next Alex Smith, or worse yet Ryan Leaf.

not too many teams are needing a starting QB anyway. He'll be a backup wherever he goes so that will give him time to learn.

He has to come out this year. He will be the second qb taken in the draft, if he waits he could be the third or fourth taken

ru kidding me, half of nfl teams could use a qb........
i think an extra year would do wonders for this kid...... but the way the market is he will be a top ten pick and make millions

I really feel he should be drafted by the raiders. He would be a marketing gold mine as the only part Mexican qb Oakland could use any positive publicity

Great for Oakland, but I don't think that would do Sanchez any favors.

he did the right thing for him and his family...he'll only be behind stafford in this draft class. next year...he'd be 4th maybe 5th drafted.

He made the right choice to come out and get financially secure but I do not believe he's NFL ready just yet. Not many are right out of college though.

i think he needed atleast one more year, but we'll see

i don't think i could pass up that money lol. most college quarterbacks could use the extra year...but to pass up setting yourself financially for life is probably a dumb move. he'll be the second qb to go in the draft this year, whereas next year he wouldn't be.

I've always thought Stafford was overrated. He has all the arm strength in the world and can make all the throws but it's the mental mistakes that are an issue to me. Just not sold on his pocket presence and decision making. His arm is tops though.

More mistakes (most of the time costly) have been made by owners and general managers when they try to fill their quarterback "slot" thru the draft; the list of failures is a mile long. Big dollars (and time) have been invested, more often then not ,to no avail.

Will this Sanchez make it, no one knows for sure (we can speculate).
But, heck, if it lands him a job, more power to him; isn't that why we go to college (become qualified to eventually obtain gainful employment)?

Have to agree, Stafford is WAAAY overrated. I personally would
rather have Sanchez than Stafford, if I had to pick.

who needs Mark Sanchez?

- Jets if Favre doesnt come back. Mia, NE, Buf are all set at QB. Mia needs a backup for Pennington
- Pitt, Balt are set at QB. Cleve has 2 options so they are set for now. Cincy could use a backup maybe but Fitzpatrick got lots of reps so I think they are set. Carson needs to get healthy fast
- Tenny and Hou are set at QB. Indy/Jax needs a backup for Pey and Garrard
- SD is set. Denver needs a backup. KC needs a world of help at QB. Oak has a starter but could use a backup
- NY/Phi/Dal/Was all set at QB. All but Philly need a backup
- GB set a QB. I personally think Min is set at QB but they need to get rid of Frerotte and bring in someone else to challenge Tarvaris. Det should have a starter with Orlavsky, they need an OL. Chi is set at QB, sadly. They could use a backup and dump Rex IMO
- Car, Atl, TB and NOR all set at QB. All could use a good backup
- Az and SF are set at QB. Sea I guess is set with Matt and Seneca butneither are great. Stl could use a new QB. I think Bulger is regressing fast behind that crappy OL

I dont see many teams in need of a starter. KC needs help. Their 3 QBs all suck. Stl needs one. But there are very few teams that really really need a starting QB. Most teams have someone who can do the job better than Sanchez could as a rookie. Teams would be better of drafting him as a backup
