I could be off here, but I am beginning to feel
old Robbie boy is becoming an opponent. He did
last 10 with JM Marquez and paid dearly in doing
so. I have seen him live here in Sin City, and I WAS a big fan, I see him sliding and he has
this awful habit of keeping his left hand down around his knee as he fights. I like Nate @-150
over at the Greeks. I do not like betting chalk
but I like what Campbell has shown more than what Peden has shown as of late. Opinions?

agree 100%......one of the bouts i was waiting to post....peden really doesn`t have serious pop in his shots....he`s active...and he`s tough....until those marquez body shots crippled him....

campbell`s the bigger puncher....although peden`s a gamer,and unless campbell is heading downhill,i agree...

the other fight i was scoping was the julio garcia/verno phillips......unfortunately,the books were onto this one....-275 at oly.....-310 at 5 dimes...

although phillips is getting a little long in the tooth,he seems to have reinvented himself....he looked absolutely fantastic in beating bronco mccart and michael lerma in his last 2 bouts......i mean,he looked like a buzzsaw....he almost stopped lerma(and lerma`s tough)...i know ..i sweated the over in that one......he`s in great shape and looks better than he ever has....better with each fight....

garcia was over-hyped from the beginning....imo....beat chantel stanciel(big record..little substance)by early k.o.....then got the sh-t kicked out of him by candelo.....

i think that phillips, right now,is fighting at a different level than garcia....-275 is very tough for me....

maybe a parlay?...maybe throw tapia in there fighting in n.mexico yet again vs scrub frankie archuletta(who lost to the horrible emmanuel lucero....who looked absolutely amateurish vs manny pacquaio)....even at this late date, tapia should have plenty to get by slow archuletta....

Great idea about a parlay. I made a rule some
years ago about not laying the lumber over -300.
The math tells me it's too difficult to recover from losses. A parlay, maybe money line and round proposition with two different bouts is
a way. I'm going to peruse the offerings and
see if maybe we can find a live one.

The line for Campbell/Peden caught my eye tonight as well. I came in here to see if anyone was talking about it. I would jump all over it if I weren't focused on other bouts at this point in time.

I think it should be an easy win for Campbell.

PS Franks, what if Vitali were to square off against Tyson as a -400 favorite. Would you not jump all over a line like that or would you still stay true to your -300 rule? Just curious as to how serious you are about that.

I realize there are supposed to be exceptions
to every rule. Problem with that is if a guy
says "Well, I won't do it EXCEPT this one time",
that ONE time becomes two times and where does it end? Sure, we see something juicy and we start licking our collective chops. For me, there is no such thing as a "lock" and I despise
the very concept. Anything can and does happen,
so I make every effort to stay true to the 3-1
rule.

I really like Campbell here as well. He has a great stick and move game plan most nights and is very discipline. Buddy has him fighting great, and i really think he is an underated fighter. Good chance to make some money

oh well..had a small par going with morales, phillips and TAPIA....lose a little there....

but win a little more on phillips....wish i had the stones to go harder on some of these favorites that fall in the -200`s....

whattya gonna do?...i`m cautious......i guess i`ll be happy with a few extra bucks.....beer money....
