This CANNOT be good for BUSINESS Can It?

ATLANTA -3 -100 (EXCHANGE)

CAROLINA + 3 +105 (SPORTSBOOK)....

Wil,

Do you still contend they are simply dealing to a 'Feeling' or 'Position'?

they are just "painting the tape" with shills. They don't even realize which shill is doing what.

I mean just throwing up offers at random to generate business. Just a thought.

Any exchange that allows markets to "lock" let alone "cross" is a joke.

Could you imagine the New York Stock Exchange having a market in a stock 52.25 bid/51.75 offer?

That's funny JC. Yesterday at WSEX the reduced juice interactive had SEA pk +113, while the str8 bet ticket had Phx -110 (at the same time). It wasn't there long but I got it.

I guess it can happen to WSEX too huh?

guys Skybook gives away thousands, other shops give away money all the time.

This is a way for people to get excited to come to the web site often and look around and make some plays. So they are giving away $20 every $1000 or so. Its marketing.

trytrytry,

THAT MAKES ALOT OF SENSE....

They offer NO BONUSES.....

THEY DO NOT HAVE 1 800 LINES....

SO THIS IS THERE WAY TO ADVERTISE, RAISE EYEBROWS......

It is true if they have DEEP POCKETS, WHO CARES, they are trying to accumulate customers for NOW I guess......

They are sure going after the wrong type of customer if this is some marketing ploy. What these guys are trying to accomplish is a total mystery to me.:icon_conf

This place is the sharpest of the sharp. They knew they would get a buzzz on this, lots of new customers posting up and looking around and knew it would end right on the number 3!!! :103631605

mmmm

this book is about as sharp as my granny. I don't scalp much, but I know a lot of guys that scalp and bet big.

they all say their biggest concern is how frequently they are taking money out of Mansion, they just can't lose there.

I don't care how big this so-called billionaire is, the losses this place is racking up must be causing him some concerns. Also setting up in Gibraltar, a place with a proud tradition of tolerating all manner of scamsters from share bucket shops to timeshare touts, is not exactly a vote of confidence in the future.

They will not survive! No way! The question is HOW they will go down.

Pesky, I can only speak to my experience. Been with them now only for 2 weeks and I keep finding myself clicking the deposit button at Mansion and the withdrawal button at Pinnacle. Seriously. Though I don't doubt it could have been different before that and certainly that could turn around.

Interesting to say the least.

Have not tried MANSION yet, but my interest has been perked by others responses to this book, and thus will be depositing with them shortly.

I've seen arbs like that at 5 Dimes at times - between a regular line and the special prop line they put up for big games/fights. I don't think there's anything to analyze though. They're probably just trying to balance the action on each individual line - like they always do - and they flukily just drift into that position. There's so much going on at a sportsbook, it must be hard to monitor every detail.

Wrong Grucho.... the scenarios you just compared cannot be compared using the same parameters. The special prop lines @ 5 Dimes are usually circled games, hence reducing their exposure.

Mansion has outrageous limits and huge amounts of liability. This shop will easily have lost an 8-digit number by the end of their first year of operation... if everything continues on its recent course. The priority #1 of any business in any industry is to generate revenue... I find it hard to believe that Mansion is actually making any money offering 'middles' withing its own shop...

Players, with the exception of few mistakes... have you guys ever found available 'middles' within different betting possibilities @ Pinnacle?

Thanks again for sharing your experience with us, D2bets... I think we all agree that your input is tremendously valuable... but wouldn't you consider a 2 week period too short of a sample? As you said... and certainly that could turn around.

ACW just posted something I would pay attention to:

They will not survive! No way! The question is HOW they will go down.
That's some serious food for thought...

Yes, it's definitely an extremely short sample.

But I don't agree with ACW that their demise is inevitable. Clearly Pinnacle has made the -105 model work with lines that are just as if not more opinionated. Mansion certainly doesn't have the breadth of volume that Pinny does, not yet, but in due time they could compete if they run their shop right. They don't offer bonuses or other gimmicks, which is good.

I'm not saying they will survive and thrive, but it wouldn't shock me if they do. And no doubt it would be a good thing for the players if they can make it work. :103631605
