Mandatory Super High 5 Payout Wednesday @ Hawthorne

This is a jackpot style bet that only pays the entire pool if there is a single winner...EXCEPT for the mandatory payout day which is Wednesday. Pool has been building for months and currently sits at just under 300k. Will easily see another 50-100k bet into this Wednesday. So basically you have 300k of money in the pool currently tgat your not "playing against" ..very good wagering opportunity.

wager requires picking top 5 horses..final race of day..minimum base wager is .20 cents

I hit one back in April at either Mohawk or woodbine for around $800 on a $9 ticket

I would estimate that the new money wagered today will be between
600 + 900 k. the following describes the breakdown and the overlay.

if 600 k bet today this = 450 k new money in the pool (approx. 25% takeout )
+ 295 k carry over = 745 total paid out. overlay = 745/600 or 19%.

750 k bet today = 560 new + 295 carry. overlay = 855/750 or 14%.

if 900 k bet today = 675 new + 295 old. overlay = 970/900 or 8%.

I would estimate 750 k barring really bad weather will be the most likely
amount bet today certainly an ok overlay. it is a 20 cent ticket so $100 gets
one 500 combinations. if the favorite wins that tends to offset much if not
all of a small overlay as too many of the smaller player tickets will have
similar numbers.
