Minnesota Man Puts Dog Feces in Parking Ticket Payment to Protest Fine

AUSTIN, Minn. —

An Austin man who allegedly included dog feces along with his payment for a parking ticket has been charged with disorderly conduct.

The 22-year-old man was charged late last week. He's been summoned to appear in court June 15.

The man's vehicle was ticketed April 18 while it was parked in front of his residence. The complaint says he put an envelope containing his payment and dog feces in a drop box at the law enforcement center.

An Austin police department office employee smelled a rank odor as she gathered envelopes from the box. Opening them, she noticed one leaking a brown fluid, which got onto her hands and desk.

The next morning she awoke with a headache and vomited repeatedly. She was hospitalized for about two days with an undetermined illness.

Call me crazy, but I don't think this will end with a disorderly conduct. The woman was hospitalized for 2 days. This little asshole that put the crap in the envelope is probably going to get charged with some sort of assault, and will probably get sued by the woman in civil court as well. It's probably felonious. The kid could easily end up doing time over this.

The woman got hospitalized for two days. It's assault, and because of the biohazard that was involved and the manner in which it was carried out, I think it was felony assault. If he can plea down to a misdemeanor assault, more power to him.

Answer...yes, it is a felony assault. This happened to my mother, if you can believe it. She was working in a call-center, some miserable asshole blew a whistle in her ear causing hearing loss, the guy plead guilty to a felony, he and the company he works for is getting sued in civil, and the guy's life is going to be flyshit now.

With the biohazard involved, and because of the randomness of the letter's victim, and the fact that it was targeted at a gov't agency or "the system", this could even qualify as an act of DOMESTIC TERRORISM.
