if the lakers don't play defense. The magic are shooting over 50% in their winners & the Lakers will need to burn a lot of energy on defense to lower this percentage. I think we will see a game that the Lakers score over 100, & lose.

if the magic win the war in the paint. I heard more than once these playoffs that the Laker front court is soft. The key for the Lakers is to get Howard into foul trouble. Because Gasol & Bynum are gonna get mauled by Howard. Odom will have his hands full with Rashard & Hedo.

if the magic can win 1 in LA & hold home court. The 2-3-2 format of the finals gives a big hand to the dog. If Magic can split the first 2, they play well enough at home that they could roll the Lakers.

Please spare me the shit about Kobe, coaching & playoff experience. i know the Lakers have some keys to success. But they take games off, & losing 1 of 2 at home could cost them the championship.

lakers in five, there is no way theyll be taking games off in the nba finals. this is where they want to be, to them, their season starts now. they have some unfinished business to take care of. kobe wants this more than any player on the court, and i dont think phil is gonna let anyone blow his third chance to win the 10th.

:):)

Not a chance in hell. (1) Laker's won't forget how to play defense. (2) Lakers were hear last year against a far superior team inside and outside.

Orlando is no where near last years Celts. In addition this years Lakers are far improved from last year. While the Magic are elated to have made it to the finals. For Kobe & Jackson, this is unfinished business.

in sports anything is possible, i dont think its that much of a lock for the lakers to roll the magics

orlando swept the lakers this season, and are 3-1 in the last 2 years vs the lakers.... its not a huge upset in my eyes if the magic win the finals

from the beginning of the season everyone expected the lakers to be here, anything short of a championship is going to be a disappointment, there is more pressure on la now to win

Playing basketball (in early June) in Orange County (Florida)
is a "hot and muggy" experience. It will be interesting to see what affect climate has on these teams.

It has been rumored that Leonard DeVoss orders the A/C thermostat set higher in the Amway Center during the "hot" portion of the NBA season to play havoc on the visiting teams.
(Of course, the Magic must play four games in L.A. if it goes seven).

It would be interestring to know what the (bleached-out) dehydration factor plays on some of the players (if known, it could be a handicapping factor).

i really dont understand the Lakers lock crowd. The teams match up fairly evenly, with the Lakers having a little more bench (at least when the bench shows up) Magic have no answer for Kobe & Lakers have no answer for Howard. The fact Lakers were there last year means nothing. Just like Patriots winning game #18, no way they could lose that one right? The Lakers are facing a team playing their A game coming into the series; looks exactly like the Giants. If the Lakers don't bury this team they will get bitten in the ass.

If the Lakers cannot defend the Magic then the Magic are going to win.

LMAO, many.

Does many = 1 or 2 to you?

Unfortunately they have NO great players, except for 1 that was sitting on the bench.

They (celtics) have 3 hall of famers in their starting five...what is great to you?
Do you know who is on the roster?Did you watch them this year or last year?
