I'm a huge LSU fan and I hate the fact that we got matched up in the first round against UAB. They are a high pace, up and down team that's tough on Defense and from a very tough conference in my opinion. If LSU does win they more than likely will face Arizona...wow how lucky can the tigers get here. On top of that the games are in fvcking boise, so hardly any Tiger fans can make the trip.

I know, I should be thankful LSU is a 6 seed...but this is what I'll be doing when we play UAB...:smoker2: :smoker2: :smoker2:

Does LSU have two solid ball handlers? If they do, they EASILY cover this number. If they don't, UAB will win straight-up. Something I have to look up before I make a play (if I do, of course)

Well....

Tack Minor is the point guard, and he has a lot of physical talent, but is not very smart in general. He'd probably score about a 10 on the wonderlic.

Whipple is the backup and is a senior who knows how to run the team and make good decisions with the ball, and if Brady has a brain cell in his head he'll use Whipple more than Minor, but I doubt this will happen because Brady loves Minor's speed, penatrating ability and tenacity. LSU is very tough down low and has some ability to make 3's with Mitchell and another Senior in Hudson and plays 9 to 10 players so we have some depth

Bass and Davis are rebounding machines.

LSU has been playing very well as of late and had Kenfucky beat yesterday, but couldn't close the deal. Speaking of Deals, LSU got a raw one in my opinion having to play UAB in the first round in fvcking Boise of all places.

All that being said...geaux Tigers.

The thing is, UAB will press the guards. If the Tigers can avoid turnovers, set up in the half court, and feed the ball down low, UAB doesn't stand a chance of beating them.

Just like Rutgers has problems with teams with size, UAB cannot and will not beat a team that they cannot press. They have no halfcourt offense to speak of - a lot of their points comes off forced turnovers.

I just want LSU to win this game so I can start hedging my 500/1. I don't like the fact that ESPN is all holloring that UAB doesn't belong in tournament. Don't need any extra motivation

Fellows...

Thanks for the input. I truley believe LSU has the talent to go to the Sweet 16 this year, but I'm not sure they have the brainpower at point guard. Tack Minor is as dumb as a brick. He's very fast, but his feet are much quicker than his brain and he'll frustrate the hell out of you if you are an LSU fan or have money on the Tigers. LSU has done quite well in spite of Tack, but I look for his poor perfomance to catch up with the team sooner or later. It caught up with us against Kenfucky for sure...he made some real bonehead plays in that game including the last play where he didn't pass to one of 2 open men at the end of the game.

I think LSU can beat UAB, but I'm just warning all of you about Tack Minor. He will make you pull your hair out. Hopefully Brady will play Xavier Whipple a lot in this game if all we have to do is run the half court and get it into our big men.

Who says I bring nothing to this board...Up yours Death Sucks a Pecker!:finger:

This game comes down to tempo, tempo , and more tempo...LSU can't run with them and looking back to UK they had us until we got them in up tempo..
UAB has nothing to stop the inside game of LSU,.. I know long ride to game site but hey who will UAB bring,,,

I think LSU guards aren't the best but I believe LSU will controll the tempo and win this game,, UAB is not the same UAB of last year and been up and down all year...they game with the Louisville was tempo that they like and LSU trust me will not run,,

Just my opinion here

no blow out here. this one goes to the wire with OT a definite possibility.a battle tested back court is the key. find the experience and youll find your winner.you guys know the intangibles better than i. this game should be decided at the FT line and on the bench. which coach has more experience? i highlited uab sunday when the lines came out.theres going to be upsets. would uab winning be a big upset?~rg
