What you project the over/under to be in this one (game not until Nov 9)?

LSU is scoring at will
Bama and Tua are lighting it up

Does the QB of the winning team win the Heisman?

I wonder if the over/under will be set low on this one b/c when you think Bama vs LSU, you think of a low scoring boring game?

Also if 1 of these teams go undefeated this season and if this is the loser's only loss, will both teams STILL make the CFP? I think yes

Would love to hear thoughts

Assuming both teams remain healthy on the offensive side of the ball (and that is a large assumption with the amount of football to be played between now and then), the OVER/UNDER will be set somewhere in the 71-74 range.

The winning QB in this game certainly has a leg up in the Heisman; yes.

I do not believe either of these teams will go undefeated in the regular season, but if one does, and the loser has only 1 loss (from this matchup), then there is a good chance the loser of this game would make the CFP.

These teams have scored a combined over 40 pts 4 times in the past 12 meeting and only once over 50 (never over 60).

If you look at both teams, yeah over 70 pts should be scored.

Should be interesting and maybe value on the over based on recent history? I wonder if we can find early lines anywhere?

IF history and perception weigh heavily into the setting the total, you MIGHT see something in the 60's, but that would be hanging a weak number. We shall see.

Curious to see what the over/under was for the games the previous years. This game has 70 pt + potential here

I saw on another thread that you thought Tua could be the next Mahomes? Do you really think that? The reason i ask is that i'm a dolphins fan and its looking like they have a STRONG chance at that #1 pick next season

Yea i really do think they are the same in one,i mean they both like to move out of the pocket to find the best receiver to throw to,now not running, also they always have a high rate of touchdowns, they don't throw interceptions, and they are both smart QB's,they are pretty much accurate on their passes, they give a chance for their receivers to catch the ball in stride,..just my take buddy, anything can happen at anytime also

anything above 65 and id be on the under. at some point i think orgeron will dial back burrow and become more conservative even if he doesn't do the play calling. even with tua the tide will start to run the ball more effectively and eat more clock, thats just how saban likes to play the game.

Right now I would say Bama -10.5 since it is in Tuscaloosa (I'll hammer LSU if its over a TD), but come November I wouldn't be shocked if it was Bama -6 or -6.5.

As for the total I would say anything over 70 would be to much. Both defenses will focus on making the other team put together 10+ play drives and the clock will be ticking away. We could see this game in the 50s imo.

Agree.
LSU is feeling around, experimenting with the newfound passing game against weaker foes, but vs Bama will be more conservative; if it is 68 or more I will definitely go under.

Kind of amazing that Burrow was the third-stringer at OSU

Bama "lighting it up" vs:
Duke
NM State
S Carolina
Southern Miss

Anything over 60 and I like the under as well.

The first four bama opponents have a 1-9 record vs FBS teams.

The next 4 bama opponents have a 1-9 record vs FBS teams.

Yet they can lose to either LSU or Auburn, NOT play in the SEC championship, and STILL make the CFP
