UF -4. This line will drop by game time to -2 or -1 for UF and I will be jumping all over it. UF is not the same team as they were in the last couple years but they will find a way to win. This will be a close one with UF winning by a field goal.

I agree that Florida is the right side of this ballgame. Although i disagree in that i feel Florida will win rather comfortably, which will surprise some.

why would you be jumping all over a team (laying chalk incidentally) you think will win by a field goal? your post just made the argument for no play.

Florida's offensive line isn't very good, I like LSU in the trenches and Fla in the skill positions, I think this one is won in the trenches, but...

LSU has a few guys banged up that left the Mississippi St. game. I think Tyson Jackson and Ricky Jean-Francios left, don't know their stats but if they are good to go, I lean LSU.

yep. good look prodigy. every week prodigy exposes some really weak leans that ppl themselves don't even believe in, you can tell by their own words. he makes the case that some are just action junkies.

If he is quite sure the line will go down, why NOT take the extra points as a bonus? Doesn't mean he likes the play any less.

I'm seeing 4.5 now though, could backfire....

I'll chime in on this. unlike some that can't see past the team they pull for I call it like it is. Fla - Lsu. I'm a gator season ticket holder and follow the team pretty close. I was all set to make a pretty healthy bet on Lsu. We have looked like shit all year, we have several interior lineman out or hurt to make matters worse and Tebow is in a bad funk so far(for reasons i won't waste time on here). so think about this, if Fla would have come out a 3 point favorite would you agree most of the bets would still be on LSU? I say hell yes. So why an opening line of 6????? WTF? This was a huge stop sign for me. Something stinks with this line. I'm not touching it. Fla has plenty of talent to win this game but if they don't play better and the coaches don't scheme much better and let other playmakers help out rahter than Tebow/Harvin i just don't see a win. Again 6 point fav? Vegas is seeing something I have not seen so far. Good luck . I'm headed down for the party (Lsu fans we usually tailgate with are a hell of a lot fun)and hopefully see us pull one out our ass! :smoking:

Some SU trends favoring the GATORS

-Play against road teams coming off a home win against a conference rival against opponent off a win by 10 points or more over a conference rival.

Home teams are 342-161 (68%) SU since 1992
--------------------------------------------
-Play on home favorites of 3 to 10 points outgaining opponent by 175 or more total yards in their previous game.

Home teams are 180-55 (77%) SU since 2000
--------------------------------------------

I havn't seen much of LSU this season but it looks like in their two only two games this season against conference opponents they have given up an average of 23 points a game against teams(Auburn, Miss State) I consider have inferior offenses.

IMO Urban Meyer is the 2nd best coach at "big game" preperation and will have him team ready and focused. I would expect to see Tebow run the ball more this game, similar to what he did last year, and an awful lot of plays to get Percy Harvin out in the open.

Most importantly LSU has to somehow stop Florida's return game. If they let Brandon James give his team a short field Florida will score on every possession. I would also expect Florida to make the inexperienced LSU QB think more then he ever has on the football field and hopefully this will create some costly turnovers.

Florida should win by 7 or more

I think Florida will roll over LSU by 2 TDS. No way a Frosh QB goes into the swamp and doesnt struggle.

Down a bit on Florida, but this is a good spot for them in the swamp at night. Defense is playing well. Running game getting going.

Florida has the ability to blow this LSU team, lead by a Freshman, out of the water on Saturday. Spikes and the Florida defense have been exposed by spreading the ball around but it appears they can come up with some big plays when the ball is in their territory.

BOL to all the players on either team.

I agree with the statement above. Florida has not been consistent on offense all season, the difference in this game will be Tebow. While it would not suprise me at all if LSU wins, but taking into account the atmosphere and the ability that still rests on the offensive side of the ball Florida could possibly lead to a blowout. I think LSU is going to face the best defense they have seen all year. This Florida D is fast and will be able to hold LSU under 20 points.

LSU's talent is great, but as a defensive unit, they are not as good as they appear on paper. They allowed MSU and Auburn to move the ball on them. That does not mean that automatically Florida will move the ball on LSU.

Edge

QB- Florida
RB -LSU
WR - FLorida , but not as great as some might think.
OL - LSU
DL- LSU
LB- Florida
DB- Florida

FG- LSU
Kickoff Return -Even
Punt Return- Florida

Florida wins this game, because Les Miles is going to take 1 too many risks and its going to hurt his team.

Florida 27-17

auburn, as much as i hate em, is every bit as tough to play at as the swamp. the best thing florida to hope for is to have the ball last. if lsu needs a score late to win, you can bet your ass they will find a way. i have never seen a team play better from behind that lsu. they dont mind taking chances. tebow is off it this year.

One major factor I forogt to point out was Turnover margin, Florida in the Top 5, while LSU is in the bottom 50%. In games like this, that is huge and that will be difficult to overcome on the road.

I say no. Florida appears to be the better team, and they're at home. They can't make the line 3.

Since your analysis is focused entirely on the Gators, I would suggest that what Vegas has seen that you haven't seen is ... LSU.

LSU looked bad against North Texas and Mississippi State, and their win over Auburn is no longer so impressive.

Its always a good game when these 2 teams match up. I just done see LSU coming into the Swamp and beating this team. FL has looked like shit all year. At some point they are going to put it all together and come out of their shit hole and fuck somebody up. This may be the game that FL puts everything together and Tebow becomes Superman again. We will see at 8pm on Saturday.
