Rumors are out there that LSU told Herman to take a hike to his 6 million dollar demand. I am not sure which angle Herman played but I believe he played one school to get a bigger pay from the other knowing he would take either job and be happy. DId he keep Texas around to try and get 6 mil from LSU? Did he bait LSU into a real compeititor for his services to get a bigger urgency and pay from Texas? keep in mind texas wasn't for sure on Long till probably the TCU lost, hence the 2 day hedge coming out thursday night.

lsu wisely evaluated the Herman's entire body of work, saw some good wins mixed in with some horrible losses (SMU, UCONN) all while playing in a shit conference and passed on the ridiculous salary demands. If Ogeron gets the right staff in place, takes on more of a CEO type role ala Dabo Swinney, he will do well. Guy will absolutely own the region from a recruiting perspective.
