LSU -41 vs Arkie State?

Search
I've made a living out of fading Arkansas State against bigger powerhouse teams the last few years. Case in point their 2 games against Ole Miss and Utah St last season (outscored 104-0). They are actually worse on defense than they were last year (scary proposition) and against (what should be an) angry LSU team in Baton Rouge I would think 41 is not enough.

The Arkie St offense had some success against Mizzou through the air but as decent as Mizzou's defensive backfield is they don't hold a candle to LSU's IMO. I love Mizzou's defense but they are slow compared to the LSU defense (as are most defenses).

I'm not sold on Noce being the savior for this Arkie St team. He's not going to see anything like the defense he's going to see on Saturday (and on a fast track if the weather holds out like projected). He had one INT returned for a TD vs Mizzou and last season in the backup role was brutal (8 of 31 176 yds 0 TD 7 INT). The only question I have is will LSU care enough through 4 quarters to cover a large spread?

I like the first half a lot and got some at -24. I want to play wait and see with the game line as it's at 40.5 right now in most places and if it drops below 40 I may be ready to pounce (I would LOVE 38 but it probably won't happen).

Good luck...would love to hear your thoughts.

As I mentioned in another post...I think LSU probably gives up 0 points in this one, but what makes me hesitant is can they score enough to cover? I don't know about that. Look at Auburn last week...I see a game like that here, but if you're to play this game definetly take LSU or nothing because they easily could blow them out big time, but I personally think the offense has taken a step backwards. I like LSU and hope they do well, but just giving my opinion. I wouldn't put my money on this game.

Normally I never take this big of favorite, but You have two QB's for LSU competing for a starting job, I doubt the third string QB will even get in the game, not good for Ark St. If Missouri could give up the kind of yards they did to Ark st and Still put up 52, imagine how many points can be scored against this Ark ST defense when Ark St's offense can't move the ball?

I could give a long, detailed analysis for this game, but I really don't think t's necessary.

You will see a HUGE leap in the offensive productivity this week. PLUS, it won't be monsoon season this weekend......

LSU will win by 50

OK start so far for the Tigers. Hopefully they keep it going.

As for BC getting 2 roughing the punter calls and a prayer TD on a catch that looked out of bounds...well no comment.

Wasn't that too easy? I made HUGE $$$$ on that.

Now, let's hope that Saban will let the backups run the offense in the second half.
