#1 - Texas Tech +1

You're getting a team that hung 420 yards on Texas last week and 24 points. Houston, although beating the #5 Oklahoma State team, is still untested to me. I don't think OSU took this seriously to begin with. A lot of pressure also is on Houston to win this one due to the lack of strength on their schedule. If they do win this game, they could quite possibly be the only undefeated team at the end of the year...making them a National Championship game contender...I think the pressure is too much for Houston and Tech wins by 10 in a high scoring, entertaining game. 45-35, Tech.

#2 - Miami Florida -1.5

Miami has shown that they are a serious team this year by all means. After beating FSU like a drum, FSU comes back to knock the #8 team (at the time I think) BYU down in an impressive way. I had bet FSU last week saying this was their chance to prove they are "for real" this season and they pulled through like champs. This, to me, proves that FSU is not the "run-over" team they appeared to be in the Miami game, although their pass D did look terrible at times. Auburn's defeat in the 4th quarter took more from VT last week than they'll lead us to believe. Miami wins by 14 in this game...38-24

#3 - Washington State +44.5

USC has shown nothing under the once starting QB, Corp. I don't think Washington will even be close to winning this game, but I also don't think USC, who's average is 29 points per game this year, will even score 45 points. USC wins big, but not by 45. 42-10

I am looking and debating on a few others...will post a few more later!!!

#4 - Ole Miss -3

Ole Miss will lose a game they're supposed to win this year eventually but I don't think it's this game. Although Nutt will be out-coached, he still has too much dominance on the field for this game. Ole Miss wins by 14 in a game that's close through the first half. 35-21

#5 - Troy +2.5

I don't keep up with Ark St. much but a friend of mine who does says this one belongs to Troy by 10-14. I value his opinion enough to bet it myself so here it is.

#6 - Washington +7

Good luck last week warrants another round especially since I'm getting 7 @ Stanford. Hopefully, and with a little luck, they will stay focused before the ND game next week.

#7 - Arkansas +17.5

Arkansas, with the #1 QB in the SEC in most major categories, will not give up easy points to Bama's defense and will score it's share of points. Enough to cover the spread I think anyway. I hope Arky wins, but I think Bama wins by 11 in a 35-24 game. Maybe we'll catch Bama in an over-confident state of mind...it's happened before.

I am also wrapping all bets into a progressive parlay...

all wins - 40/1
1 loss - 4/1
2 losses - 1/2

I'm betting $10 on this, I'm just looking to throw something else out there...

#8 - Ole Miss / SC - Under 52

This is it for the week unless I have overlooked something...too many plays really but maybe we'll come out on them.

1-1 Tonight

Hit the under, lost the Ole Miss -3. I said earlier in another thread that if Ole Miss was expected to win, they'd lose, and if they were an underdog, they'd make it close.

Here is the post on 9/6/09. I should have taken my own damn advise. I knew they'd lose sometime this year but I honestly didn't think it would be this one.

Having at least 1 of your 2/3 Linebackers blitzing on every play on defense it seems, even on 3rd and long (5 yards or more), left the middle and underneath across routes open all night long.

Nutt hasn't changed a bit and will be gone from Ole Miss as soon as they get tired of it, just like Arkansas. This was a poorly coached game all the way through...but I expected that to be honest. Nutt hasn't ever been able to coach in games he should win...he's an A+ coach when isn't supposed to win but when he's favored...he sucks.

1-1 on the week, 7-3 overall through Thursday night.
