I see a lot of Raiders support for this game. And not sure where that is coming from? Houston will stifle this Oakland offense. Carr will have major problems with the pressure he'll be getting in the pocket. And putting up 25 yards rushing against the Jets? And defensively they gave up over 200 yards rushing to the Jets. With Fitzpatrick, smart qb who won't make the Matt Schaub errors, Hopkins and Johnson out wide, and of course Arian Foster... they should be able to control the tempo and pick up first downs. I can't see the Raiders coming within 10 points this game. Thinking 24-7 type game.

Anyone see what I'm missing with this Raiders team?

Oakland defense on the field all day, the offense struggled against the #1 rush defense in the NFL last year. 1st game for rookie QB on the road.

You may be right, but it was 1 game. Interested to see what Oakland does at home, with a rookie that has his first game out of the way.

I tend to agree. Derek Carr was a 3rd day prospect who went in the first because of his physical talents. No real feel for the pocket or reading def coverages.

I don't think so. Rookie quarterback first game at home always has some show going on, unless he's loser. I see Carr make some efforts, and teams support him.

Gotta go with the home dog, even with Carr, who hasn't looked all that bad. Texans are nothing special.

Physically he has what you are looking for. Strong body, big arm, quick release. Mentally it's not there. Low football iq, poor awareness, and can't handle a good pass rush. Awareness and pocket presence are things that you can't teach. Could be wrong, but that's my opinion of him coming out of Fresno.

He's been around the NFL since he was 12, he was breaking down NFL film with his brother. Called his own plays in college.

Low IQ? Are you serious?? You must not have watched him with Gruden.

I will never lay $$ on Shitzpatrick again after this turnover machine burned me so many times last year.

You guys want to talk about IQ's???

THis guys is an Ivy League graduate and does some of the dumbest shit Ive ever seen at the QB position!

Maybe in previous seasons, but last year, Schaub was just giving games away. Houston has an excellent defense and some very good players on offense. If Fitz doesn't blow it like Schaub did last season, they will be a very tough team to play every week. This is the same team that should have beaten the Seahawks last year if it wasn't for Schaub giving them a miracle gift.

I'm with you ak. This and saints game is the only for sure games for tomorrow. Anyone who thinks Oakland will take it is sipping too much of the Kool-aid. Redskins offense was more of a threat and the defense shut them down. I'm thinking Houston wins by a touchdown easy

Who cares about Grudens Camp? Lots of people can sound impressive talking. This is a qb who in college struggled picking up blitzes. Often throwing the ball to early and off his back foot. He has no real feel for the pocket and it showed against much less talent than what he will see on Sunday. I didn't have him as a top 5 qb in the draft.

All you needed to know when thinking of drafting Derek Carr is how he played when actually playing a better team. The guy was horrible against any D that was halfway decent.

He's a bust.

JJ Watts is a machine! Texans are superbowl contenders with him healthy.
