Yeah, reminds me of a guy who divorces his wife for greener pastures then when the green wares off wants his exwife back.

Petrino has no conscious and would bail on Louisville at the first opportunity.

Had a 1.2 million buyout to WKU. So UL basically paid WKU 350K for Petrino to coach there last year. And WKU gets a home/home with UL per WKU's contract.

Doesn't Louisville realize that this isn't exactly a great face for the program?

Damn trustee leakers!

A member of the Louisville board of trustees says Western Kentucky's Bobby Petrino has accepted an offer to be the Cardinals next head football coach.
Jonathan Blue told The Associated Press Wednesday evening that it's a "done deal." Blue says the University of Louisville Athletic Association will meet Thursday morning and barring any unforeseen issues is expected to approve athletic director Tom Jurich's recommendation to have Petrino replace Charlie Strong, who accepted the Texas job over the weekend.
Petrino, 52, returns to the school he led to a 41-9 record from 2003-06 as a first-time head coach. He has an 83-30 career record as a college head coach, including an 8-4 mark last season with the Hilltoppers, his first position since his April 2012 firing by Arkansas amid scandal.

pretty shocking Jurich would go back to the well with Petrino, i feel sorry for the good portion of Louisville fans who never wanted to see this guy again. i'm sure he'll do ok, but it's a very awkward move going from a solid values/clean program guy in Strong to Petrino the clown. that doesn't continue the momentum Strong built.

Jurich was really interested in Narduzzi and interviewed him, why couldn't they get that deal done? Narduzzi backed out of the UConn job because the money wasn't going to there for his assistants.. that surely wouldn't have been the case at UL.

Jurich is supposed to have a great reputation, hard to believe that he would be so quick to hire this piece of shit without speaking with other candidates that have less baggage. This douche is loyal to no one, not even his wife and kids, and he will fuck up again and/or bail the first chance he gets. Terrible hire, just terrible.
