Got -205 on the ML this morning, up to -220 now, still Love Lousville here, they will win this game. Iowa isn't a top tier Big Ten team, where Louisville is the class on Con USA

Iowa beat them last year. Have a better team this year. And Louisville just barely got by a Div II team. NOt as strong a pick as you are making it out to be. Good luck though.

If it's such a sure thing, why ML?
cause I have been screwed enough by lines this low to know i prefer to pick the winner. I will be very content with the ML.

Line is now up to -6 1/2 frm -5 this morning, and the ML is -275 when i got it at -205 this morning...Lots of steam coming in on Louisville..

I'm gonna take the points here and I think the Iowa has a good chance in this one.

How do you know its not a syndicate play? Why the assumption its a "public" play??

Not an assumption. Betting patterns. Game opens UL -6. Overnight, immediately goes down to 5 1/2, and then 5. This morning, most of the public sees line for the first time. Line goes back to 5 1/2, then 6, then 6 1/2.
Chances are many paid services have Louisville. Same paid services a lot of the "public" followed yesterday. Now, these services are GOD to the bettor.
Now, if this game goes back to 5 1/2, before tip off, you will know. because BIG MONEY is coming in on Iowa. Stay tuned.

I have also looked at a couple consensus sites, 70 % are on Louisville. Most sharps don't make picks on these sites.

You're right Ego...I'm not playing this, but I do have a lean to Iowa when seeing this line movement.

Guess it will all sort itself out on the court, I will be happier than all hell with a Louisville 1 point win, in fact just as happy with that as I will be if they win by 15...

Agreed. Will be happy if UL wins by 1. I wasn't trying to insult anyone or call anyone here the public. until i figure out all these angles, i am also the public. a lot of times you don't spot it until you look back at these lines after the game.
I have been consulting with a handful of guys in various forums who i consider "sharp", and all 5 of them are on Iowa. Then i see 70 % of the world is on UL. Just an observation when i lok at the numbers. I'm still learning how tor ead line movements and this is what i'm coming up with.

No win for Louisville. Iowa 2 in a row v. highly ranked Louisville squads! Watch out for the Hawks this year. Much, much better team that finished 4th in the big 10 with 6 players last year.

Viking:

Love it ... grew up 50 miles from Ia City and with the job Ferentz did this year he gets my vote as National Coach of the Year

Seriously, to rally that team after 2 straight losses and a white walkon rb as the only ground possibility, ONE HELLVA JOB by one of the top coaches in the country

To take Iowa to 3 straight New Years Day Bowl games is simply one of the best coaching jobs in the last couple of decades ...
