Lou Holtz got a little emotional during the Final Verdict segment on College Gameday Final. A lot of people don't like Lou as an analyst. However, I happen to like his personality and emotion, even though half the time he doesn't know what he is talking about and his sever homerness for Notre Dame. He's a class act! Enjoy the clip!

On a side note, I agree with Mark May that Colt McCoy is the better QB, and I'm in favor Rece Davis' judgement.

Haha this is priceless... My buddy works with a guy that used to play under Lou at Arkansas and said he and everybody else hated him. Said he was not a players coach. Also said they also never received one of Lou's famous "pep talks".

I am forced to turn the sound down when granny and May start their babble. ESPN seems to take pride in putting the wrong people as announcers and then shoving them down our throat when most do not want to listen to them (see MNF announcers). I wish NBC woud hire Lou as analyst/comedian/doctor or whatever he think he is for the Notre Dame games. Oh wait no one watching the ND games wants to listen to him either.

To put his argument in the proper perspective, this is the same Lou Holtz who argued equally passionately that Notre Dame should have been in the Top 25 simply because their record read 4-1.

I've found that he makes me laugh sometimes when ESPN uses him in the booth at a live game for color commentary, but I can't stand him in the studio. Why they decided to hold up this crooked coach as their face for college football I'll never know. It's not as bad as if they had got the 1984 SMU Booster Club to comment on the game, but it's not that far off.

He also predicted pre-season that South Carolina would win the SEC East, and possibly the SEC Championship. :icon_conf

I'm simply shocked that Bobby Knight didn't swear on ESPN during March Madness last year.

Talk about being anti-climatic!
