Im looking for a Job in SportsBook hopefully in the area of San Jose, San Pedro. I have over 5 year experience in all areas of a Sportsbook from taking wagers to Moving lines, from sales and payouts to training new employees. Got fired 3 days ago because of reorganization of the Book! For starters, maybe you should start up your own thrread cause not many people look at this one since its old news. and right now job searching in SportBooks unless you got contacts your fucked, cause high season ends in less than 24 huors !!!

I find myself in the same job situation as Shaitan. I have over 7 years experience and due to the book moving to another country, I find myself jobless. They offered for me to move with them but I have a family here in CR and chose to look for work here. I have good references at this book as their lines supervisor. Hey am not from Costa Rica and dont know if i ever wanna come down there .
Looks like the only place u can get a job in the industry is England or Gibraltar .
Guess its quite hard for someone who does not have a british passport to get there.
Anyone other options left ???

Australia does have a gaming industry but FORGET about ever getting a work there (legally anyway)

Antigua does have openings but you would have to be awesome for them to go through the expensive procedure of getting you a permit

Not sure about Belize, positive that there must be openings in Panama where it is probably relatively easy to get a position

I've seen Australian job postings looking for people with expertise in North American sports. In fact I almost applied to one a while ago, but I decided I wouldn't want to live in Darwin, Australia.

btw, it is certainly not impossible to get a valid work visa in Australia but (and I missed the point when I originally posted) it must be hard for a Latin American to get such a visa (harder than it would be to an american that is), I supose the person who asked is american therefore it is probably not as hard as I would have originally implied

there are tons industry jobs in england, and it's not hard to get a visa/work permit -- you don't need a UK passport.
