Wrong Michael.. it was another Michael, used to get Plasma TV's and Fridges etc.

He likely got them from Golfito which is about 3 1/2 hours drive from San Jose and is a whole bunch of stores (Sony, Panasonic etc) that lets you buy tax/customs free - and I believe the limits just got increased to allow up to $1000 in purchases per person but you can take a few people and combine totals.

Michael was great though as he delivered and offered good service - I'm sure someone else can find a past post of his?

If you can't find Michael you will save HUGE (talking 50% in some cases) by going down to Golfito yourself and I believe they even have bus tours that take you down and allow you to pretty much bring back anything of any size on the bus as a one day trip (bitch of a bus ride though I'm sure :>( ).

It's not such a bad drive if you take the coastal road.

I think you are referring to David Cohen who has TV's, washers, dryers, etc. from Golfito. Sorry, don't have his number with me but surely others do.

Might want to contact Viejo Dinosaur as well. He is moving soon as has lots of stuff. He is at the Bash in Las Vegas now.

David is awesome, especially for appliances. His edge on the TV market has really gone down, but for GE appliances he has hands down the best prices, with warrenty.
