u think the tiger d is that great, or is it the level of competition in conf. usa?..i watched the first 10 mins of that championship game..(if u wanna call it that...cuz that's all i could take)..and just thought to myself...could memphis hold down a team like unc or udub or cuse?..teams that like to get out and run...conf. usa is dreadful....teams just take horrid shots don't rebound on the defensive glass and make memphis year after year look like world beaters
They are so fucking long defensively. If you have played hoops, it is so difficult to get clean looks against defensders when they have 5 inches over you.
Call it what you want but the stats don't lie. None of the 3 games vs Tulsa even went over 109.
i know exactly what u mean...kinda liken it to thoroughbreds...horse gets a few wins then has to step up into open company...i just wanna see memphis take on some big boys out of conference and see this defense play somebody...i personally don't think highly of gonzaga nor gtown and those were the two ooc games i saw them play this year...one was good and one was bad....
Not to mention they should have won the game. They were the best team in the in country last year.
It took them sometime to get going ealier this year. They have reached the Elite 8, 3 straight years.
If Tyreke Evans comes back Memphis will be preason #1 next year. They return everyone but Dozie and Anderson and add a top notch recruit.
