Probably not going to post much more than the local Oregon teams. Too busy betting baseball and working.

Portland State +26 Not much on this game, but PSU has a good dual threat QB. They can score some points and keep close here for a while. Wazzu lost so much talent in the portal, and have a great running/poor passing QB. You saw how much Wisconsin and MSU struggled yesterday, I can see this being similar for a while. Wazzu has been known for playing down to the level of some of these FCS teams.

Will be back shortly for the other 2 Oregon games.

Idaho St. +26 This one I like more. The Beavers really have had a hard time finding a QB, even late in camp. They will likely run the ball a lot, and keep the passes short. They also lost a lot of talent in the portal, along with their coaching staff. Last season the Beaver's top strength was a very good OL and run game. The OL is revamped, the running game by committee. The key here is if ISU can at least slow up this run game. Idaho St. is in the tough Big Sky Conference, but was more competitive last year. They return 18 starters, and have a pretty good passing game. They might think they can win this game. They probably can't, but like Wazzu, the Beavers have struggled in the past game one vs. FCS teams.

Oregon -46.5 Oregon has such depth on offense that they almost won't be able to help themselves scoring. The Ducks also have plenty on defense to keep Idaho off the board 1st half, and maybe get a couple of turnovers. Autzen is a tough place to play and Oregon has been pretty good about winning these early FCS games by 50 or 60.

My 2 cents on tonight's game is that the total has been inflated. I took the under 34 1H and under 14 1Q. Replacing Daniels and Caleb Williams with Moss and Nussmeier, and expecting the same high scoring as last season is unrealistic. Also, both teams lost some great skill players...although some decent transfers. Both have new DCs, which I think will make their players give that extra effort trying to impress. And both DCs like their Ds to cause havoc, blitzing and disguising blitzes. Moss had that great bowl game vs. a weak UL D, but we'll see if he struggles early. Neither QB is all that mobile.
