Dempster didn't start, or appear, in 162 games. Also, Dempster made many, many poor pitches tonight. Not one pitch or one inning. 100+ pitches in 4 2/3 innings is not the line of a quality pitcher.
I don't see Zambrano pitching well either.
I can't wait to bump all those "cubs will win the world series" threads in about a week.
You know what's great about being a Cardinals fan, cubs fans (besides the winning, which you obviously know nothing about)? Always having a rooting interest when the cubs play.

Harden is clearly the best pitcher on the team and, disregarding that he pitches an inning or two less than most good starters, is clearly one of the top starters pitchers in baseball.

Dempster was an ace with smoke and mirrors this year. He's a pretty good number two starter and that's it. End of story.

Also was far from one pitch. He was getting away with the walks early. In the playoffs it'll bite you in the ass eventually.
