Living in Buffalo I'm glad to see an NHL salary cap in place.

I lost interest in hockey after the Hasek era ended here in Buffalo because I alway's thought we would never have a chance to compete for the Stanley Cup. I love the new salary cap and I might even become a fan of the "New NHL".

Don't get too excited. Sabres will still be the SAME old Sabres.
With Larry Quinn still running things I don't expect any improvements. He is dumb as the day is long.
Vanek is our only hope and they need to dump Satan-at any price he is overpaid.
I will not renew my season tickets-but I kinda think I might go to a few-I love hockey.
However, what channel will they be on with Empire gone?? Someone said some will be on MSG.
They may narrow the gaps on what teams can pay-but the Sabres need to get talent in the FRONT OFFICE and behind the bench. Tom might spend but he has lined up Bozos to help him. Lindy wore out his welcome 3 years ago.

Can't disagree with most of what you are saying, but with pretty much the same team that was on the ice a few years ago and no major free agent loses on the horizon I think this team has a great chance. If I remember correctly they finished up very strong the second half of the last season and really looked decent. Now I don't expect them to be at the top of the salary cap in payroll but I am just glad the gap in salaries are closer now. I heard MSG will cover the Sabres in region only format. I'm guessing at least 40 games a year. Marketing has been missing for years in the NHL and they must improve on promoting their sport. I'm not a NASCAR fan but boy did they get the job done the last 15 years or so. Later my friends.

Hey, got another restaurant for you to try, ever been to Tony Romas? They've got the best ribs in Buffalo, by far! I have been there 3 times now and they are consistantly excellent!

Lander, I LOVE THAI!!!! Can't get enough!

Here's a recipe I found while in school, it's spectacular!

Thai Curry Chicken And Vegetables

* Servings 5*

2 tb Oil

1 ts Five-spice powder

1/2 ts To 1 1/2 ts salt

1/2 ts Garlic powder

1/2 ts Ginger

1/2 ts Pepper

1/2 ts Cayenne pepper

1 tb Soy sauce

1 1/2 lb Chicken breasts, skinned, -boned, cut into 1-inch -pieces

1 c Chicken broth

3 ts Curry powder

2 tb Rice wine vinegar or vinegar

14 oz Coconut milk (not cream of -coconut)

16 oz Frozen broccoli, carrots, -water chestnuts and red -peppers

5 c Hot cooked rice (Try Jasmine rice, it's the best rice I have ever had)

</TD><TD vAlign=top width="50%">

Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until hot. Stir in five-spice powder, garlic powder, ginger, pepper, cayenne, and soy sauce. Blend well. Add chicken; cook and stir 5 to 8 minutes or until coated with seasonings, lightly browned and no longer pink.Add chicken broth, curry, vinegar, and coconut milk; stir. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionly. Add veggies to skillet, bring to a boil. Cook 3 to 5 minutes or until veggies are crisp-tender. Serve over rice.

Would be awesome. I haven't been to Ottawa yet ... I'd like to make it up there for a Senator game someday. No way would I wear my Sabre gear --- judging by the intensity of the Senator fans during the playoffs that might be an easy way to get my ass kicked .. ha.

I'm trying to convince the Mrs of an Eastern Canadian trip ... rent an RV for two weeks and make the journey from NF, to Missisagua (sp?), Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and QC (and maybe the scenic route back along the St. Lawrence) .. but so far she's not even close to biting into the idea.
