Got a good one. Vasquez choked him down big time right after the break then he ran greenly down the stretch before breaking free of the horses around him when he really dug in for the last strides. Last to first. Always fun to watch. It's been pretty dry for me lately when smelling these bombs. Happy to start right today.

They closed with him in his maiden race. Then looked for speed for him in his second race, both on dirt. Then they laid him off for three months for retraining. Then dropped him from MSW to claiming today while putting him on the weeds. This is the race they were prepping him for. They knew it, too. That's why the odds went from 30-1 while loading to 16-1 at the last odds change. I got lucky. Thank you, Odds Gods.

Jeez. Two last to first horses in the first two races. Unlike the first race, I didn't think that this horse had a prayer at the top of the stretch. Zayas gave a perfect example of why the six whip rule that's being discussed just stinks. He got him there.
