with Dallas now the no1 seed confirmed its hard to think mentally this doesn't take the edge of them a little at least this week....maybe they indulge a little more than normal now in Christmas festivities as well lol.....Lions at better than 2 to 1 looks a live underdog, thoughts?

Detroit is banged up bigtime, no Slay no Riddick, ansah is hurt and starting center Travis Swanson is also out w a concussion. not to mention they just lost Quinn there other top Db. with him and Slay both out it slim pickens in the Lions backfield. If Dallas plays all of there starters the whole game Lions will not win this game. And I'm a Lions Fan

This game basically means nothing to DET either. If GB wins vs MIN, it does not matter. Whoever wins week 17 will win division. DET might not give a crap and want to get healthy. DAL may want to win strong in primetime for their last home game and then mail it in for the cold game at PHI week 17. DAL at -7 appears to be baiting the DET bets.

Well Detroit still wants to win. Even if they were to lose the last game of the year to GB for the division title, they still would like another win so they get a wildcard spot at the very least. Lions are gonna throw all they have at this game I just don't think its enough.

Detroit can clinch the NFC North division title with:
1) DET win + GB loss or tie OR
2) DET tie + GB loss

Detroit can clinch a playoff berth with:
1) DET win + TB loss or tie OR
2) DET tie + TB loss OR
3) DET tie + TB tie + ATL win OR
4) WAS loss or tie + TB loss + ATL win or tie

I wonder how motivated Dallas will be.

Will they even use all their starters for a half or the full 60 minutes?

Will they be willing to risk the loss of key players for the playoffs.

Unlike NE, has Dallas blown out anyone all year (except the Browns).

Put yourself in the Lions shoes. Which would you choose?

A. Go all out with a short week ahead before the GB game so you can try and secure a wild card spot. While GB goes out and plays hard because they have to win. Then slug it out, on short week remember, with GB for division title. Lose that and your gassed and travelling for wild card game.

B. Go through the motions vs DAL. Get healthy, get right, and go home for week 17 and kick a travelling GB team in the mouth, who's playing 3rd division game in a row, and win the division. Host playoff game instead of travelling.

I choose B.
