Liberals and overpopulation

Look at a guy like Realestatepro, let's take a look at some of his Liberal positions.

- "Republicans only care about themselves".
- "Republicans are only for the rich".
- " People should give to the poor".
- "The government should give us free health care, vacations, SS etc."
- "Europeans are more family oriented because they have more vacation days, and more days off of work for new mothers."
- "Americans just care about themslves."
- Oh, and christians are bad

Then when you bring up a liberal cause like Global warming or overpopulation.

- The government should just let old people die off! We have too much modern medicine ( which keeps too many old people and the world overpopulated). Other liberals go as far as killing people off ( credit Realestate pro, I don't think he does) but others talk about a one Child Policy like China.
- We are destroying the earth with too many people, and depleting the world's natural resources. ( It is morally wrong to use the earths natural resources).
- We need to lower our population.
- We need to stop the use of natural resources.

I also think the liberals love the whole " global warming and over population" "debates" because they are "feelings" arguments. The liberals flood the news with dire images, and cherry picked statistics to make people feel bad ( more easy to control, and more likely to give up their rights). I mean, who could say no to mother earth?

I mean, I don't think most liberals believe we should deny old people health care and let them die off, but REP never ceases to amaze me. I think his deviation from the liberal policy is him being a "free thinking" and thinking he solved the problem. Just let old people die so we won't harm mother earth. Funny you mention this. I was thinking about it the other day. I have no idea what a good solution is. Never thought about the elderly though. I mean I like that we can live so long these days.

As countries grow older they produces less children. ( Japan, US, Europe etc.). The countries that are blowing up population wise, are poorer african and south east asian countries. The cost of having children in Japan/US/Europe is higher so people have less ( simple economics). Wealthier people have less kids than poorer people. ( Simple economics here).

Current projections project the world population to level off at 10 billion based on income levels, countries, immigration, etc.

With the advancement of modern medicine, I have seen predictions/projections that babys born today will have life spans that are twice as long as the current ~ 70 year long life span. I have even seen a few bold predictions that people will be able to life indefinatly. I don't know if i would go that far, but we certainly haven't maximized our medicine and longer life is very possible if not probable.

People have been speaking of overpopulation and harm to the earth and her resources since 200 AD.

Simple minded liberals view having a lot of people as a problem because it creates a lot of mouths to feed, it means a lot of resources used, and it is just scary to them. They look at the "negatives of people".

1 additional baby doesn't mean 1 additional free loader mouth to feed. People produce things as well. Is that baby going to be the next great scientist, or a farmer that feeds 1,000s of people or Bill Gates, or Beethoven, or Tom Brady. Take a look at what people bring to the world as well, the "positives".

What would happen if Bill Gates mom didn't have children because she believed in overpopulation? There are people that believe the world is underpopulated... be fruitful and multiply.
