Pretty surprising move considering they have a young stud RB CEH......maybe the goal line troubles are bigger issue than we think....I feel LeVeon has plenty left in the tank if put in the right system and we all know how well talented RB's do in this KC system! I think Bell is going to thrive with KC and revive his career....signing with the Jets since day 1 was a nightmare never was a good fit

Thoughts??

We'll have to see if the on field plus, outweighs the team chemistry change. You don't release a pro bowl rb, unless hes more trouble, than his numbers suggest. Most notably, hes been below 4.0 yds per carry since he left Pitt. He might be best used as a receiver and to spell CEH. As insurance. He no longer has the high ceiling he once had.

It might depend on Andy Reids stature, can he do what Bellicheks always done, find players with some residual skill, but attitude/behavior issues, get them on the cheap, then see if they can conform. If not, adios.

My only fear, he screws with CEH's development, or instills some awful habits. Hard for me to forget Brown and Bell posting, while Tomlin was giving team meeting. Playing the fool in the back of the locker room.

I don't think he would have signed with KC if he wasn't going to start and play the majority of snaps. Going to an elite team can change a players demeanor, at least in the short term. CEH hasn't been great. He's ranked 32 among running backs in dvoa and KC is 26th in off run epa. It's possible Bell isn't the same player he was in Pitt but he's walking into a pretty good situation.

Bell will probably be used at the goal line among other things, CEH has had issues at the goal line and with short yardage.

If he drops some lbs, gets in shape and picks up playbook, this is a big move for them. He can easily split out from backfield giving Reid and Bienemy the ability to have him and Clyde in backfield at same time. Just another problem for opposing DCs to worry about.

He was bad in NY but who could look good there?

Looks like Vegas is about to counter that KC pickup by working out Irving and prolly signing him. Has some off field issues but is a beast
