UFC seems to be taking over a little bit but boxing still has huge numbers on their big PPVs. I'm a UFC guy and I'm constantly arguing about this so I figured I'd put up a poll to see which is the sport of TheRX.

Tied at 1-1. I have a feeling boxing is going to take this one.

Boxing guys... what do you like about boxing exactly? I don't hate the sport... I just think it can't stand up next to UFC. That's all.

Not even close. MMA guys are by far more talented, better prepared, its a harder sport, its above boxing on so many levels. I know a lot of people don't enjoy the floor skills on MMA 'cause they think its boring, but its just so technical that if you really know the sport you can see what submission or striking position fighters are really looking for.

Boxing is old fashioned, easier to understand.

MMA fighters are modern day Gladiators.

Boxing.

In UFC a guy can get his ass kicked then get choke the guy out in the end makes it dumb to me. Plus, all that time on the ground doing nothing...girly fighting.

Boxing is more of a real fight...a man's fight. Hand to hand combat best man wins.

boxing. If the threat of fights being fixed was not there. It would be one the top sports.

Boxing just seems to lack upper notch fighters I guess. The Mike Tyson's that made the sport watchable are gone. It's a great sport but being a technical fighter that doesn't go for the knockout seems to be the trend.

UFC does have ground work but not in every fight or anything. Plus if you want to talk about a real man's fight... boxing has friggin pillows on the hands while UFC barely has any gloves. Just adding a point...

Boxing is the better sport by far, but if I had to watch a PPV right now I'd pick UFC. I again state that boxing is BY FAR a better sport, but it just doesn't have any top boxers that people care about right now. No Tyson, no Ali, no Foreman etc. The boxing class is weak right now, but overall just judging the actual sports boxing wins and it's not close.

Biggest selling PPVs of the year, on the cover of ESPN and Sports Illustrated, SportsCenter now talks about it... it's time to start caring try squared.

"Of the 15 biggest PPV events of 2007 in North America, UFC had eight, to four for boxing and three for World Wrestling Entertainment (numbers are not yet available for UFC 78 and November and UFC 79 in December, both of which are expected to crack the Top 15)."

In my mind, a UFC fighter does not have what it takes to be a boxer....

UFC would kick a boxer's ass, but I think a boxer could compete in MMA much before an MMA fighter could compete in the boxing world at the same level.

Boxing is in the olympics....I don't see MMA in there yet.

UFC more entertaining.....but so is the WWE....hahaha
