Waves of Oklahoma Sooner Fan! Two days and counting, no doubt you all have already spent the Benjamin you are going to bet on the Orange Bowl. Kegler poppin' off about the Big 12 owning the Rose Bowl (oh yeah, Nebraska). Packer Fan gone silent after Texas lost his child support payment, Good Dr. forgetting USC has played and beaten Iowa, Michigan, Auburn, and Virginia Tech in their last 26 games (but of course Oklahoma has played in much bigger games) and Death eats a Cracker still trying to whistle. GoSooner maintains his level headed thinking, but I know he is trying hard not to say what he feels...

Scoreboard so far:
Pac 10: 2-2 ATS (Defense allowing 28 ppg ave.; Offense scoring 29 ppg ave.)
Big 12 South: 2-2 ATS (Defense allowing 35 ppg ave; Offense scoring 24 ppg ave.) Thank God for Texas Tech. Clearly the Big 12 south has better defenses and better offenses than the Pac 10. Add to the mix the powers of the Big 12 north and you got yourself quite a conference!

I will say that if Kyle Orton didn't have 25G on Arizona State than the Pac would be 1-3, but that's for a different day.

And where are the SEC power brokers? Clearly Auburn making through the BRUTAL SEC means they should be playing in the national championship. Did Tennessee really lose at home to Notre Dame? Fortunately they don't have to play anymore Big 10 teams this year.

Looking forward to getting buried in this thread...always fun to mix it up before the game.

Good luck to you all, hope you are having a better bowl season than I am.

I know the game ain't over yet....but there are 8 Pac 10 teams that played USC better than Oklahoma has, and Oklahoma had a month to prepare. Bob Stoops should ask his brother Mike how to prepare for USC's offense, at least he can keep them in the 40's.

Sorry, but if you don't believe that the Big 12 is the most overrated conference in college football, you don't know football.

Big 12 is overrated but in regards to this game, Oklahoma handed them atleast 3 freebie touchdowns due to turnovers that were more self inflicted then USC causing them. I'm sure you would admit that.

No one is going undefeated in the Big 10. Every team gives you a tough time even the lower tier teams.

BIG TEN hands down the toughest conference to win in week after week... very few cupcakes...

EGD..it's always the same...USC isn't winning...Oklahoma is losing. Maybe USC's defense is forcing the turnovers?

O.K. that guy fumbling the punt return is an idiot, but White is getting harrassed like...well, like he was playing LSU again.

The punt fumble was a brain cramp as well as the White jumpball where it was 1 vs 4. The other INT was because the WR slipped. The 4th turnover was caused by yet another slip on the field.

I would agree about the Big 10 as far as top to bottom. As far as the toughest teams in one conference though, I would say the ACC and SEC are close.

I would have the SEC as #1 with the Big 10 a close second in terms of top to bottom toughness.

Big 10's bottom tier is toughest, but as far as having the TOUGHEST teamS (Most quality opponents) in one conference......hands down ACC and SEC.

ACC - Miami, FSU, Va Tech, Virginia
SEC - LSU, Georgia, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida

Guys for once just shut up and give USC their props. They completely took the sooners apart, top to bottom, coaching, fans ect. USC forced OU into turnovers by being in their face from the opening kick. As I mention in my thread, USC gets up for teams with winning records. The same cannot be said for OU. As for Auburn and UTAH, let's see them do it again next year. Remember, USC has gone 33-1 in their last 34. When was the last time someone did that?

The scary thing is that everyone is coming back. 80% of their roster is Freshmen and Sophomores.

Even if Leinhart leaves they still have John David Booty for 3 more years and they got the #1 HS QB in Mission Viejo's Mark Sanchez. Also, as an FYI, Brian Billick wants Norm Chow as the Ravens offensive coordinator per the Baltimore Sun. They are friends from their days together at BYU.

Leinhart would be dumb to come back to play for USC.

His stock won't be any higher than it is now, and he'll have one less year to collect on the lucrative contracts that are waiting for him in the pros...

If he stays in college his stock will only drop, and takes the chance of a flat year or flat team lowering his visability to the pro scouts next year.

If he stays at USC I hope the whole team goes into the tank. Tons of players would love to be in his spot right now, and the opportunity is now.
