Let me guess, Auburn drops to #11 and only 9 sec schools in top 25?!?

Hahaha. What a joke. Meanwhile Espn will continue to spout narrative about "sec beating each other up" so losses don't count and they all just float around the top 25 all season! But we'll have another year without the BCS beauty pageant handing the SEC a title and there will still be talk that Ohio st or Tcu or Clemson or Usc were just "more rested" or that the SEC didn't really care about their bowl games! Hahahahaha

You sound like you have a bad case of penis envy.

I hope Auburn loses. Regardless, they should drop out of the top 25. Preseason rankings are the problem.

Here's my guess. Allbarn moves up in the pols and everyone "applauds" Gus the fraud Malzahn for his resilient his team was and how they came over adversity and came back and won and they will have turned the corner with this ultra dramatic win.

Nope no penis envy. Freely admit SEC is and has been best conference. Just tired of hearing how unbeatable they are. You get 10 teams in top 25 and when they beat each other, you get the bs of them floating around and not moving out. Just counter balancing the SEC hype. Probably extra sensitive to it because I live in the South and have to hear the likes of Finebaum rant on endlessly about how unfair ohio st's schedule is and how when they lose in bowl games it's because they don't care or other excuses. I do rail against the SEC but I make valid points: like they don't have great qbs and their coaches are not all that innovative. But even though I give them their due, all I ever hear from sec defenders is insightful comments like "you have penis envy."

Auburn should move up to at least #2 or #3 after this dramatic and unbelievable win over powerhouse Jacksonville State

It's just early and the polls really dont matter until the CFP committee starts to talk in Nov.
Not sure why Auburn was ranked as high as they were, other than affiliation with SEC. L'Ville, team they beat last week lost at home to HOUSTON. They were lucky to beat J'Ville St today. I still want to see that catch in the endzone for J'Ville on 1st down. I always thought the pylon was in bounds and the kids foot touched it. Miss St beat So Miss who's won I believe 5 games total in the past 3 years, and they jump in the Top25. Meanwhile, ASU loses to A&M in Houston which is a home game for A&M, and they drop out of top 25. I guess the pollsters only looked at the score which was 38-17, not realizing that in the 4th with 5 minutes left in the game it was 21-17 A&M. Ags scored the final 3TD with under 5 mins to play. I wont even get into Arkansas but I'll only say the Bielema probably should have kept his mouth shut talking about Ohio St and their schedule. If you can't beat Toledo at home, you probably shouldn't talk.
Maybe TCU will move back up after they beat down of SFA and watching Minny go on the road and beat Colo St. As I said, maybe Minny is pretty good and that win to open the season was not as lack luster as the pollsters thought. But I'll be on Ole Miss next week @Bama. They've been the one SEC team that has been pretty impressive.

Nah, they will move up to #3 or #4 for persevering and getting such a dramatic win.

My preseaon thread pointed out that usuaully about 9 teams that are in the AP preseason preseason poll are not there for the final AP to 25. You can make money betting against those who drop out and betting on those that replace them in the end. Yes, you have to figure out who they are and the earlier the better. Who do you think will drop out and who will make the final top 25.

russ1945 makes a great point. if you think a team is overrated go ahead and bet against them since their odds are probably jacked up.

pre-season and early season polls are useful for networks to tout "Top 25" matchups!

that's about it

Exactly !!!!! We all "love" polls.....even in politics. More often then not, top 25 polls don't mean "diddly squat"......especially with so much talent at these smaller programs in college football today. Auburn was glad to get off the field with a win......There will be some ass-kicking at practice today

funny even to talk about polls whether it is today or nov 14th. last year showed polls are meaningless and they literally are. getting panties in a wad about anything poll-related, AP or coaches, is as silly as freaking out about the "rolltide top 25". it means nothing...zero....nada....zilch. once the BCS system ended so did the use of polls for weeding out top teams

not to mention the thread creator claims barn at #11 with 9 sec teams when the reality is #18 with 7 teams. when you need to move the goalposts that much to make a point you didn't have much of a point to make

If you notice, he made the post on Saturday, saying they would be $11.
