they were calling it "The Buyout Bowl" before the game so quite possibleI wonder if the play had been allowed, is Malzahn the one on the chopping block?
Saban will eat him up in recruiting and Briles has no ties to the southeast. His image has not been rehabilitated enough. Additionally, if the SEC wont take transfer kids who have blemishes, what Commish Sankey gonna say about one of his teams looking at a guy like Briles. Heck the SEC already has a negative reputation off the field due in part to recruiting, academics, and a whole sort other thingsBriles is supposed to be a lock to Auburn...before the season even started.

You are absolutely correct that the SEC is superior in recruiting to the B12. They always have been. Hell the PAC12 is superior to the B12 in recruiting. Adding Mizzou and A&M, two AAU schools is outstanding and I was one to applaud that. You need to be corrected on the SEC having a negative image on "recruiting, academics, and a whole sort other things". The SEC is now the superior conference to the big 12 with the new alignment. The SEC addition of Texas A&M and Missouri along with the inferior schools the big 12 added out of desperation (West Virginia and TCU) has the SEC sitting pretty academically. You are correct in the Briles situation. He will not even be under consideration for any coaching positions with his Baylor rape scandal hanging over his head. And as far as dirty recruiting the SEC does have Ole Miss cheating...but so is Texas in the big 12, they just haven't been busted yet.
This not an opinion. It is fact. Hope it clears up any misunderstandings.
