LeRoy's College Football Contest Picks...WEEK 1

For those of you who don't know me (about 90% here), I've cashed in the Hilton Contest 2 of the 3 years I've played, but college has always been my passion, so I'm planning on making some waves in the Leroy's College Football Contest in Vegas this year.

I'll try and get my picks here everyweek..

Here's my crack at a 7-0 WEEK 1 (ALL LINES ARE FROM THE CONTEST !!!)

Clemson +1.5
Auburn -15.5
Texas +.5
Nebraska -7.5
Alabama -12.5
Washington +9.5
Stanford -2.5


There were a couple others that I liked on Saturday, but some were OFF the board for the contest or just not listed, but I feel VERY confident in 6 of em, and Texas, I just have that gut feelin...so we'll see how that turns out.

cris shouest..i listen to you on the meat and tator show all the time here in vegas and you are a solid guy...i have that same gut on texas and damn i hope they getter done...good luck with the rest of your plays...aren't you also known as louisiana lightening....man i hate to see and hear the meatman is having the kind of trouble he's going through...but it happens to all of us at one time or another...good luck with your plays and come on texas....jeffksu

Hey Jeff,

That tis me...Meat's problem is that he is from New Orleans and the clientel he built is mainly from there, and right now, those guys have better things to do than pay for picks, or even gamble right now.

He had a GREAT run in MLB season with his picks....he's crafty, he always lands on his feet. He took a gamble leaving MVP, but he's got a long term plan...hope it works out for him.

That game was OTB at the contest...

I got the winner though...

1 Unit on LSU +105
Arizona St POUNDED Temple last week 63-16..YAWN. They barely covered that 32 point spread. And this is NO TEMPLE team they are facing this week. LSU is ready to hit somebody, and the SunDevils will feel the pain early and often in this one as LSU returns more talent here than just about any team in the nation with 10 offensive and 7 defensive starters. The loss of QB Marcus Randall is a blessing in disguise giving the SUPER talented JaMarcus R! ussell a shot under center. Justin Vincent and Joseph Addai are 2 hard nosed runners, throw in the shifty Sharone Carey, and LSU has too much in the backfield for ASU to slow up, some young WRs have another year to grow and LSU should get off to a convincing start on the road !!

thanks for the response...i get a kick out of the meat and some of his guest's...sid is one cool cat...and it's sad that's he's down on his luck right now...what part of louisiana are you from....hope all is well with you and your's from this tragedy that has has happened...down south...came to vegas from victoria texas...in laws live in houston and have said it is getting bad there from all the newbies that have came over ...what the hell what are ya gonna do...thanks for the response and good luck to you and your's....go texas...thanks jeffksu
