No offense but I think a meaningless stat considering the combination of how long he's played + no-defensive league last decade

Bump.

We are all very excited about Lebron and his points. Can't wait to slurp him when he passes Kareem. Unfortunately I'll be sloppy seconds to a certain soy boy.

Obviously an amazing accomplishment, if we said "well this guy did this because XYZ era" we could do that with a lot of records.

But hard to care about much LeBron does these days because he's pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme.

He is arguably the 2nd greatest player to ever play the game.

But much like the end of Kobe's career he is playing on a terrible Lakers team to finish up so it's a collective yawn.

The guy might not even see the post-season again in his career.

He will have won 4 championships and all 4 were a real struggle. Truly looking back he is lucky to even have 4. His first one against OKC they won in 5 and the bubble they won in 6, the other 2 could have and probably should have been losses---down 3-1 to golden state and a miracle Allen 3 when fans were already leaving the arena in Miami.

Jordan(who he is most compared to) won all 6 with relative ease. Being taken to a game 7 once by Indiana in the ECF finals(at lest i believe this was the round could be wrong). That is what is nuts. 6 championships and taken to a game 7 once in any round in all 6 of those---nothing was left to chance or a certain bounce going a different way would have lowered the total. Dominance.

Championships aren't the end all be all---but if James was so great why was he never on a truly dominate team? Even those Miami teams had to really dig deep to win those 2 championships. He never had a run like Jordan's Bulls or Shaq and Kobe's Lakers.

But obviously Lebron is one of the best to ever do it----but he really isn't close to the best ever when you measure the results.

I think MJ had a higher peak, but LeBron gets the edge in overall career

Arguments could be made in terms of their team accomplishments.

LeBron made it to 8 straight finals, but East was weak and his path to the finals was consistently easier than MJ’s

MJ went 6/6, but he didn’t have to really play anything close to the competition LeBron did in the actual NBA finals. Utah was great but not Warriors level or anything like that. The other opponents kinda sucked. LeBron played a couple bad teams too, but again he had to face a buzz saw / generational team for a few years

To me, LeBron is the better overall player so I’d rank him as the best ever. He does more things well than MJ did IMO. If I needed a bucket in a mucky game, I go to MJ. But LeBron could elevate others the way MJ couldn’t because of his huge edge in terms of passing ability and court vision. MJ simply wasn’t as strong in that department.

There are obviously other areas where one has the edge over the other, but that for me is the biggest difference. Just my opinion

Can’t really go wrong picking either 1/2 though. Those are definitely the two best though . Love them both

How has Lebron had the better career? He has substantially less championships in way more years played than Jordan. He has won less MVPS, has never won DPOY, has i believe 1 scoring title to Jordan's half a million...ect.

Jordan would obviously put that scoring record out of reach if he could have come straight from HS and had the PEDs that the top athletes have now....Would have won more championships also

Lebron is simply the final copy of the rough draft of Russell Westbrook. A bunch of shiny across the board numbers but the team success is lacking.

He had a hard time winning the east when it was run by the likes of Jason Kidd and Chauncey Billups. LOL.

Lost to the Orlando Magic lead by Dwight Howard and that little guard from Saint Jones---who i forget the name. A 65 win Cavs team and he needed to make a miracle 3 to just lose in 6 steam roll games anyways...

Brick kept switching teams to play with the most talented teams. Brick's stats are inflated playing point/forward. He gets guard assists and forward rebounds. Jordan by far in my book especially if you consider heart, will to win and drive to make surrounding players better.
