Latest Millenium Offer

I recently received a mailer offering a 25% bonus plus a free 1/2 point promo. I'm suspicious about the timing of this (close to the Super Bowl). Looks to me like Miller's trying to raise some quick cash for his legal defense, or maybe even planning to take the $$$ and run after the SB.

I have played with Millenium before, and have never had any problems. I pulled my money in late 2002 when they started severely limiting my play (low limits are a red flag for me).

I invite anyone from Millenium to respond to these suspicions.

If I remember correctly, this promo was also available at the start of the NFL season as I recall.

Millennium has had the Free 1/2 Point Fridays in Football for at least the 5+ years I've been with them. Nothing new there. Is that what you're talking about?

The mailer not only mentioned the Friday 1/2 pt football, but also a free 1/2 pt in hoops during the afternoon (phone only, must make 3+ plays). As you noted, the football promo has been in place for years.

All these 1/2 pt promos, the 25% bonus, and the even-money teasers would appear to be financially unsupportable. The timing of this offer, along with their prior limiting of my play and Miller's rumored legal troubles, makes me suspicious. But these are only suspicions, NOT allegations. I've never had any problems with their customer service or getting paid. And, if they made this same offer prior to the season, that would certainly add to their credibility.

Millenium's "25% bonus" is actually 10% cash, and 15% matchplay. For your average bettor, this is worth about 17.5%, which is very sustainable.

Millenium limits its half-points on 3's. They take "small positions on games near the 7. Last week, they had Houston at +7' early when everyone else was at +7. Not much difference between playing Houston at +7' or +8, but the squares were still laying 7.

Millenium is also pretty quick to profile better players, and put them on "call-in". While I agree that their promotions are fairly aggressive, Millenium is a well-run shop, which will reduce promo losses.
