last thoughts on memphis

its really nice to see the NBA forum with so many new posters, several with really sharp threads. I like to make picks that stand out but thats hard when several others are all on the same play. I use the forum to sniff out square thoughts & it has become hard to find them, at least in the NBA forum.

so i went 18-12 the last 2 weeks but lost big, because of putting all my eggs in one basket. Years of play has made me see the good angles but its meaningless - because i cant manage money. The big play i fall in love with always dies ugly, along with my bankroll. so i'm done...again.

Capping NBA is not about matchups or talent. If it were, the Lakers would be giving numerous points to the Grizzlies, as they have for years. Instead you have Vegas giving the Lakers the smallest possible line short of a PK. This is because energy & motivation are the most important factors in any given game. The show played their big game yesterday, this is the final game off a long trip so this has letdown spot written all over it. RLM helps to confirm the Griz are the live pup.

I won't be on this because i have to get away from gambling & get to finding a real job and/or build my business. But my heart will be with the Grizzlies backers. Kill the fucking Lakeshow...

on paper i can make winning plays. in the real world i cannot control my impulses. fact is im scared to lay big on my sharp plays & fearless to bet huge on dogpoop. It happens over & over again.

like i said...i have to focus my energy on my next step in life. i would like to combine my porno biz into a hybrid big boob/sports capping site. Maybe when i can generate some success with my site i can make this happen. Right now my site/career needs my full attention.

jdub, I'm sorry for the way things have been going for you. I think gambling can be a decent recreational activity. I don't gamble to make money. I have a job for that. But I gamble just because I know I can make some extra money, to cover expenses on food and such. The worst thing to do is to gamble for a living. That shit never turns out okay, unless you're some kinda pro poker player who gets endorsed and shit.

im really tempted to play the Griz on a Get-it-back style play, but i'm not interested in digging a bigger hole. I could never GIB fading the show; last year i was big on the Lakers/Magic finals game 4, when Harper drained clutch 3's in OT & wrecked my summer. No need to go there again.

Best thing to do is to WATCH the game on the sidelines and enjoy it. Enjoy Kobe being Kobe and making clutch shots or enjoy the fact that this Memphis team is getting better.
