Las Vegas Rules Question

Regarding baseball, is a total team wins for the season wager still valid if that team fails to play the entire 162 game schedule? Can't find the answer in the sportsbook's rules section. Thanks.

If I remember correctly, they have to play 160 games.

Pretty much sucks beans if you bet an Over and come up one short on a team which plays 160 or 161.....heh

Then again ,is a savior if you bet under and the team's season is concluded with them being one shy of tying or going over.

Looks like you are correct GD, thanks for the info, thought that loophole might be available but two games is a bit much to ask for. Headed to Vegas next Tuesday, I'll be lookin' to make amends.

To further clarify, I went and looked at the MLB standings back to 2001. Every team had played 160 games (the 2001 Yankees were the only one I found that played exactly 160) and there were only a few that played 161. I'd say well over 90% played all 162.

They want to play all of these games for revenues and the chances of playing less than 160 without some extraordinary circumstance (strike, terrorist attack, etc.) are probably slim to none.

Couldn't find any team in the past 7 years that would fit the criteria to void the bets.
