Larry Brown has a 9-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter, and when they outgrow their clothes his wife, Shelly, sends them to Larry's two older daughters, who have kids of their own, all under 4. So Larry's grandchildren are wearing his children's clothes. And when they get together, some children are calling him "Daddy" and some are calling him "Grandpa" and some women are calling him "Dad" and one is calling him "Sweetheart." If this sounds confusing to you, it all makes sense to him. It's one big happy camp reunion he says he feels "blessed" to be a part of. This kind of sturdiness in a hurricane makes Brown a top coach.
I'm a philly guy, he left this franchise high and dry. You don't know how much shit you have to put up with when he's the coach of your city's team. He complains, talks about wanting to just coach high school, took a few days off a couple seasons ago. Here's a good one, the agent for this European Stiff (Resias or something, no longer with the team) well Sixers signed him, not a huge deal but made some noise, turned out the dam agent of this guy is Larry's relative. Unbelievable. This guy also has like kids with 3 different mothers.
I like Brown and he is a great coach. But he must be a tiny bit nuts (as Al Michaels pointed out in game 5: "He has the championship wraped up and is still coaching every play") At that time the lead was about 20 with about 6 minutes to play. I agreed with Michaels.
man thought it was just me...i thought she was esquisite...has a certain regal type look to her...
man, dude got a nice family that loves him, works with a bunch of down to earth blue collar type guys in the pistons organization that show him love...can't ask for too much more
mucho props Mr. Brown...mucho props
..anybody able to dig up any pics?

At only 5'9" Brown was not a bad player during his era in the ABA.
As a player, ABA All-Star three times (1968-70)
As a player, ABA All-Star MVP (1968)
As a player, ABA All-Star Second Team (1968)
As a player, member of ABA Championship team with Oakland (1969)
As a player, holds single game record for assists in a game with 23 (February 20, 1972 vs. Pittsburgh)
wil.
Pics of Shelly Brown are nowhere to be found (at least by me).
