taking a 500k plus pay cut to take this job! Obviously, he just wants to get a foot back in the door of building his resume as a head coach after previous debacles. If successful he will land a job at a much stronger program in 2 or 3 years. If not he will either have to stay at a school like FAU or get paid good $$ like he was getting at a big program to be the offensive coordinator.

I wonder if his father comes with him as he can hang w/ the Del Boca Vista crowd.

Not the worst job in the world. He gets to live in south florida with nice weather, tons of good looking women, and loads of recruits. Its a low pressure job at an undemanding school. He's away from Saban so he has complete control. If he succeeds, he will get a better job in the near future.

I know plenty of FAU alumni (those alums are fans of other schools 1st but still root for FAU) and all of them are happy about the hire.

Coach Schnellenberger (sp) is still loved at that school

feels like a huge step down. but he got to win multiple NCs at Bama so maybe time for a change if Kiffy is itchin to get back to head coaching. Maybe he learned a few things from Saban along the way....
