Coach Norv Turner doesn't expect any of the injured players to practice on Wednesday, so we won't have a good idea on their status until Thursday at the earliest. Tomlinson rolled his ankle in the first quarter Monday night, and he's already looking to lose work to Darren Sproles even if he does play. He could also be without two starting offensive linemen.

He would be a very hard start this week if he is playing. If you have a good third option, I would consider it strongly.

LT2 didn't sound like he had any idea if he'll play Sunday against the Ravens. "It's not anything that is going to keep me out for a long time," Tomlinson said. "We'll just wait and see how it plays out." Even if he plays, we're not expecting much out of LT2 on Sunday. Darren Sproles and Michael Bennett will get work.

The Chargers initially called Tomlinson a game-time decision, but he was in a protective boot all week and couldn't practice. Expect Darren Sproles to start and see 20 touches versus Baltimore, with some Michael Bennett sprinkled in. GM A.J. Smith has to be regretting letting go fourth-round pick Gartrell Johnson. Without LT, the Bolts have no true inside runners.

LT2 seems resigned to sitting out a second straight week, and there has been speculation that he would miss next week's game in an effort to reach full health during the Week 5 bye. Darren Sproles will start, but expect the Chargers to feature the pass again versus the Dolphins.

Tomlinson hasn't practiced since Week 1 and has no timetable for return. He's allegedly considering resting his foot until it's 100 percent, indicating he could miss Week 4 as well before the Bolts' Week 5 bye. Darren Sproles will continue to dominate touches, with Michael Bennett backing him up.

He was probably "limited." Tomlinson has a very difficult matchup with the Steelers before his Week 5 bye, so the Chargers would probably be better off sitting him for another game to heal up for Week 6. LT would be a very poor bet for any production in this matchup. Expect Darren Sproles to get the vast majority of the workload, even if Tomlinson is active on Sunday night.

"LT looked good," Turner said. "We're making the kind of progress we'd hoped for. Based on what I've seen, I think there's a good chance (he plays)." LT will be facing a stout Steelers defense while splitting touches with Darren Sproles. It's hard to sit your first-round pick, but Tomlinson won't be a Top-20 heading into this matchup.

I got LT with my 17th pick and thought I had a steal turns out he has only played week 1 and I think that 17th pick could have went towards a nice WR. I hope LT plays soon but I would almost rather him sit this week with a tough Steelers matchup and then have his bye and come back week6 at 100%. I have Peterson as my #1 RB and got a steal getting Ronnie Brown so I am alright at RB right now without LT. I know alot of people were counting on him big this year and it hurts to see him not playing.

It's uncertain if he'll start over Darren Sproles. LT is a poor fantasy play against the Steelers' defense. Tomlinson figures to be rusty after two weeks off, and that won't help his chances of getting off to a hot start in the game. Let's see Tomlinson produce before using him as an RB2 or FLEX. Keep Sproles going in PPR leagues. He should still see 14-17 touches. Recall that the two were in a tightening rotation before Tomlinson's Week 1 injury, with Sproles dominating passing-down work.

I got him late too eaglezz & thought the same thing.

Amazing how fast he, Larry Johnson, Terrell Owens, and some of the other big names have slipped the past couple of years......

This obviously isn't the LT of old, but he's an advised RB2 play against a Chiefs defense that ranks 25th against the run, surrenders one rushing TD per game, and let declining Clinton Portis break off the longest carry of his career (78 yards) in Week 6. Tomlinson did show last Monday night that he has enough juice left in his legs to capitalize on such favorable matchups.

"I've been through a lot in my career; it's hard work," he said. "I don't want to say I'm coming to the end. But I don't know if I'll ever be in this stadium again. You cherish certain moments." Tomlinson clearly sees the end of the line coming and now seems more concerned with wins than his numbers. He's nothing more than a flex play against the Eagles this week.
