KU Jayhawks at 15-1 to win the title?

Does anyone else think that this is good value. I am a biased KU fan, but I still think there is tremendous value in these odds. The Jayhawks, led by 4 returning seniors who have 2 final 4s and 1 elite 8 appearance already, are loaded. Their bench is deep and they now have a full year under Bill Self. I am not guaranteeing that they are going to cut down the nets, but at 15-1 I will take my chances.

Opinions?

i have bet futures on the ncaa tourney over the years and have noticed that, more times than not, you can get better odds on just about every team if you wait until the brackets are formed. this happened at olympic this year. i printed the futures page during the conference tourneys and then printed it the day before the big dance started and just about every team was longer odds.

Thats a good point. I will probably put some down now, and some at the tournament, as well. I would be surprised to seem them higher than that at that time, but thats aways away, and a long season. Who is your pick? Carolina is going to be very tough, as well.

i don't really have a pick yet this year. i am not really a believer in the pre-season polls. let the teams play some tough road games first...then you see what you have.

12/1 is the best I can find now. I don't see how you will get better value if Kansas is a number 1 seed in the tourney. That is a long way away though.

I went into last years tournament with GA TECH,Gonzaga, OK ST, Provience at 100/1. I know those prices weren't available in March

Roux...i like the hawks...very very very much.

Just a thought... they will only go as far as Wanye Simien's health. That's a big question for an entire season. He's healthy now, but for how long. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
