Kojak's Wednesday CFB (Cincinnati @ Miami, Ohio)

This is a tough game to call imo. Miami has a ton of starters back but has looked very below avg first 3 games (lousy at Ohio State, lost at home to CMU, and methodical win vs Kent). Cincy on other hand looked pathetic in beating W. Carolina, got lucky vs Penn State to cover, and barely beat Eastern Michigan. Last 3 years this has been a very offensive game. Cincy beat this same crew ly by 19 pts (45-26). I think both defenses are not strong and both offenses have been very avg. I do know that Miami has been money on National Tv games. I am going to go with the trend in this series on this being a high scoring game and figure the dog can stay within the number since they did it ly. Revenge could be on the mind of Miami from ly but feel they have not shown enough this year to lay the double digit pts.

The battle of the bell is traditionally always been close. I think the fav in this series hasn't covered in a while. Last two years cincy has lost but won ATS. just an fyi.

As you can see the favorite has not only not covered last 4 years but has lost su in 3 of 4. Also you can see last 3 years games would have covered 57 over this year so both teams play high scoring games in last 3. Since 92, Miami has won 6 su, Cincinnati has won 6 su, Miami has won 3 ats, Cinci has won 4 ats, and only 1 lined total in 03 and it went over. This series can't be any closer with the numbers. Dog and the over is the play!

I do think they have a chance to win this game outright. Looking at last 4 games in this series combined with how poor Miami has played. Besides Ohio St. this may be best team on schedule to date. Cinci now playing in Big East needs a nice tune up game and nothing better than a rivalry game to get them ready. BOL

im relatively new here, but a veteran poster on other sites. you have excellent insights as a capper and it is a pleasure to post on your thread.
im very intrigued by line movements,and here we have a significant "situation" the line has dropped from -14 earlier this week to -10 now. i also see that earlier there was a 50/ 50 public spread, but as of this moment only 35% of the public on cinci. im my experience, this is like vegas begging us to take the fav. my conclusion is to take the dog.
naysayers on this board (and there are many) think this is a bunch of bs, and you may think that maybe the movement is due to miami being injured ( which they are) but if i were a bookie and had a 50/50 split, i wouldnt move the line at all, just get the juice.
ill take cinci + 10, cuz vegas begs me to take the fav. capiche?

Oh excuse me for offering some insight. I don't have a firm opinion but just some observations. Ohio State dominated on both lines so the win looks even more lopsided than the class situation. Central Michigan has a hot QB. Cincy has problems on both lines and new QB this season.

Line has dropped over three points and now you are taking an overly flattened line.
