Sorry for not posting picks in either college or nfl last week. Everytime I tried to get on to post the site was down. Had an above avg weekend which will not be included here since could not post but here is what I have for this weekend.

Friday:
Kansas/USF over 48 ($500)....I expect this game to be played in the high 50's to low 60's.

USF -3.5 ($200).....I believe the homefield will play a role in this one but due to how poorly Big East has performed in comparison to strength of Big 12, I am going to go small on this one.

Saturday:
Duke -2 ($200)....Really like how competitive Cutcliffe has Devils playing at early in the season. Tobacco Road has been the only area of optimism so far in the ACC.

Mississippi St. +10 ($300)...I really like this spot for the Bulldogs. Yes they were upset in Wk 1 but feel Croom will have his troops ready to possibly pull an upset over an Auburn team that I am not as sold on as others.

Missouri -26 ($500)....Tigers have been money at home of late and it will continue here despite big spread. Mizzou's defense and special teams will come up big to help cover the number.

Purdue +8 ($1000).....Oregon has run some scores up on some cupcakes but in Tillers last season, I expect a very live Boiler team. Purdue will likely need to run some ball control through running the fb or short passing game but are capable of doing it. I believe Purdue will pull the mild upset su without the points in this game.

Georgia -7 ($200)....Even on the road, I believe Georgia is way too talented to lose to Spurrier despite his record vs Bulldogs. Georgia wins by 14-17 points in this one.

California -14 ($1000)....This Cal team is proving they may be underrated so far early in the season. This Maryland team is awful having barely beating Delaware and losing su to Middle Tennessee St. I see Cal having their way like they did vs Wazzu last weekend despite travelling cross country.

Oregon State -13 ($500)....This OSU team is following the pattern of past Beavers team looking sad early on. This is their home opener and feel they will take it out on the boys from Hawaii handily.

Notre Dame +2 ($200).....I like Irish to win this game su. Michigan has shown me very little as ND likewise but if they have played this poorly at home, what do you expect on the road. Irish win su in tight defensive game.

Temple +6.5 ($500)... The wrong team is favored here imo. I look for Owls to win this game su by at least a td though Gill has Buffalo playing respectable.

Memphis +4 ($300)....Really like Tigers to win this game in another that I believe wrong team is favored.

Ohio State +11.5 ($300).....Beanie will pull a Willis Reed and will suit up to play. I am not convinced Buckeyes win this game but believe it will be under double digits.

Washington +21 ($1000)....I really like the Huskies to play well here. OU has looked very good early on but Ty being 0-2 and mandated to have a winning season, I can't see these guys making a better game of this than most expect. Looker will give fits to OU defense being multifaceted. This game should be high scoring but expect a 38-27 type score and Huskies cover.

TOTAL CARD:

$1000
WASHINGTON +21
CALIFORNIA -14
PURDUE +8

$500
TEMPLE +6.5
OREGON STATE -13
MISSOURI -26
USF/KU OVER 48

OHIO STATE +11.5
MEMPHIS +4
MISSISSIPPI STATE +10

$200
SOUTH FLORIDA -3.5

Looks Good

Good luck, Kojak!

I agrre with almost all of your plays. :aktion033

The one I'm having trouble with is the Oklahoma-Washington play.

This is the way I see it. While Oklahoma, behind QB Sam Bradford and an experienced cast of receivers and RB’s has become a big-time scoring machine, the Washington Huskie defense has become the “Swiss cheese” variety. First, Oregon thrashed Washington, 44-10 in the season opener. Then, in a close loss to BYU, the Huskie defense gave up 475 yards of offense to a good Cougar team. The bad news for Washington is: Oklahoma is BETTER than either of those teams and laid 52 points on a supposedly good Cincinnati defense last week, as Bradford completed 29-38 passes for 395 yards and 5 scores. Washington needs to call out the National Guard to help it stop the Oklahoma offensive juggernaut. Even that may not help!

Vegas agrees with your scoring prediction. The total is currently at 62 (The Greek). That line is tight! Would you recommend better the OVER on this one?

Kojak, I defer to your experience and expertise.

I just wanted to share my opinion with you on the OU-WASH matchup.

Best of luck with your plays! :toast:

What Is Great About This Forum Is That Everybody Has Differing Opinions. I Do Think Ou Is A Very Good Football Team But Beating Chattanooga And Cincinnati (qb Was Injured) At Home In Running Up Big Numbers Still Does Not Answer Questions. Washington's Defense Is Not A World Beater But At 0-2, I Expect An Inspired Effort.

The Factor That I Take Into Account In Games Like This Is Motivation. Ou Is Motivated But Washington Is A Wounded Animal Who I Expect To Play Inspired Football At Home After Lousy Call Plus Heat On Ty Willingham.

The Reason I Don't Put As Much Into Stats As I Used To Is They Are Skewed Based Upon Competition. Washington Is Likely More Tested Vs Good Competition Having Played Oregon And Byu Than Ou Is Having Played Chattanooga And Cincinnati. This Is Their First Road Game Of Season. Things Don't Go As Smooothly Normally In These Type Situations.
I Expect Ou To Win Like I Mentioned Above But Like When Usc Played Up There Last Year Score Was Much Closer Than Many Oddsmakers And Experts Thought. Bol

Like most of the plays. But being a homer, I had to take Oregon. Especially after hearing Cowherd liking them here. Also think Beavers get easy win.
