Kojak's Selections for Week Ending 10/4 (YTD 40-34 +$7905)

I really like this card this week. There seems to be some nice value out there this week.

$300 SOUTH CAROLINA +3 (BOUGHT .5 PT)....I really like the Ol Ball Coach to come up big on the road. I believe this will be a slugfest type of game that Gamecocks win su with defense.

$300 NC STATE +8....I believe this will be a very tight game. O Brien will have his new team ready to play his old team. Wolves have improved. This will be another defensive struggle imo with more fg's than td's.

$500....KANSAS ST. +7.....Texas Tech is very overrated imo and they will once again be exposed on the road in Manhatten. Look for KSU to win this game su with big game from the offense and the defense coming up big.

$3000 RICE/TULSA OVER 80...This is one of my big total plays. This line is off by about 10 points and should be an easy winner despite the big total line to start off with.

$300 Tennessee -16...I look for the Vols to come out and right the ship this week. I see a 24-28 point victory vs the Huskies.

$500 Arizona -22....I see the Wildcats taking the Huskies out behind the shed in this one. Look for a big day for Tuitama.

$1000 San Diego State +24.5....Aztecs will keep this one close vs a TCU team who was physically beat up at OU last week. This line is at least a td off.

$1000 Rutgers +14....I have bet against Rutgers most of the season but find some value in this number vs a WV team who is overrated. I see this game being decided by 7 points or fewer.

$1000 BYU -28.5.....Cougars continue to roll vs a very bad Utah State team. This will ugly early and often.

$3000 Florida/Arkansas over 56....This is a bad defensive Hogs team and the Gators will be awnry coming off of loss. Gators may cover total all by themselves.

$3000 Texas/Colorado over 54.....This game will be played in the 60's so getting great value even with dip in number making it even better number to smash.

$500 Mizzou -10.....This is a game I feel strongly to bet big on but will be reasonable since Mizzou has not won there in 30 years and with the recent run of upsets. Overall though, this Mizzou team is as good as anybody in the country and will prove it again on Saturday night.

Always love your plays sir. A nebraska native and will be part of the sea of red on saturday. Feel nebraska gets the job done. Burned me last weekend but the tigers coming to town has the city of lincoln a buzz. I know he isnt Dr. Tom but good ole BO called for a shutout. The blackshirts will get the job done.

Kojak, I'm getting on the Texas/Colorado over with you. I like it. However, I don't like the UF/Ark over. UF's offense has been inept. I don't know if they could score 56 against Air!!

Here's my card. Would you give an opinion?

- UCLA -16.5 (WSU has gone in the tank...and until they prove otherwise I am going to continue to fade them).

- Ohio State +.5 (I just think OSU is too loaded and are a better team than Wisconsin. Wisky coming off demoralizing loss as well).

- Texas -12 (I just don't think Colorado has enough horses to hang with Texas. Colorado lost to a terrible FSU team last week by 9 points. Texas is going to hang a number on them. Texas' D, w/ Muschamp, is for real).

- Illinois +3 (Michigan stinks. They won last week due to a total debacle by Whisky. It ain't gonna happen two weeks in a row. Also, Zook is a good road Underdog).

- Kentucky +16.5 (Bama coming off big game, due for a let down. Kentucky has been solid this year, although against a weak schedule. I think they cover).

- Penn State -13 (Penn State is going to roll over Purdue. They had a mediocre game last week and are a much better team, on both sides of the ball. IMO, they win by 20-22 points).

- Maryland -13 (Simply put....Virginia is horrible! Maryland has played extremely well since the opener and have found some solid skill players. UVA will score less than 14 points).

Kojak- I love the OV in the Arkansas Florida game but can't pull the trigger. The game is playing in the early morning which hasn't bowed well for the SEC. I think these team's offenses might take a while to wake up. Score in the first half might be 17 points all Florida. Then they pace it out.

Regarding the following games that I was asked about....

- UCLA -16.5 (WSU has gone in the tank...and until they prove otherwise I am going to continue to fade them). I have no faith in UCLA even against Wazzu especially at this amount of points.

- Ohio State +.5 (I just think OSU is too loaded and are a better team than Wisconsin. Wisky coming off demoralizing loss as well). To me its Wisky or nothing. Wisconsin is the better team. This will be a tight game not worth betting.

- Texas -12 (I just don't think Colorado has enough horses to hang with Texas. Colorado lost to a terrible FSU team last week by 9 points. Texas is going to hang a number on them. Texas' D, w/ Muschamp, is for real). What you have to take into account here with Texas is that Red River Shootout and Mizzou are next 2 weeks. They can't afford to lose here but could be a classic lookahead situation. Ask OU who lost to Colorado in same situation last season.

- Illinois +3 (Michigan stinks. They won last week due to a total debacle by Whisky. It ain't gonna happen two weeks in a row. Also, Zook is a good road Underdog). This is one of those games that Illini looks like the play but feel Michigan may have turned corner last week. Illini really has not anything this year worth writing about as they even struggled vs cupcakes on their schedule. To me its Michigan or nothing.

- Kentucky +16.5 (Bama coming off big game, due for a let down. Kentucky has been solid this year, although against a weak schedule. I think they cover). I lean this direction but I am not going to go against Alabama the rest of the season. It is a no play for me.

- Penn State -13 (Penn State is going to roll over Purdue. They had a mediocre game last week and are a much better team, on both sides of the ball. IMO, they win by 20-22 points). Be very careful here. Though I am not playing my Boilers here, I expect a spirited effort. Penn State I believe are in their first road game of season. Purdue going to a bowl could be on the line in this one in Tiller's last season so I would not expect a cover here from Penn State.

- Maryland -13 (Simply put....Virginia is horrible! Maryland has played extremely well since the opener and have found some solid skill players. UVA will score less than 14 points). I have no faith in Virginia and Maryland has played better. I still think this is a lot of points as you do need to remember Maryland did their turnaround at home not the road. I lean your way here but to me it is a no play.

Regarding Colorado and Florida Over Plays...

I see a few of you concerned about these totals. I tell everybody don't follow me blindly as there are no sure things in life but I feel very strongly about both. I actually see Texas playing from behind in this game due to look ahead reasons. Colorado will at least score 24 points. Texas will get at least 35. I think though this game is well below the number up to 10+ points off. Regarding Florida, I see somebody talking about Florida's offense struggling. Arkansas is the cure for all ailing teams. This is the worst team in SEC this year bar none. Regarding the start time. one of my big over plays few weeks ago was Bama/Arkansas at same start time and it was over at half. Florida will score at least in the high 40's by themselves. I see Arkansas scoring no less than 14. This one may game end may hit 70+ points imo. The line is that far off. BOL
