So far early this season off to a very slow start going ytd 6-13, Killer Plays 1-2, upset specials 1-0. Looking to right the ship here.
Kojak Killers:
Virginia -21.5 - Cavaliers are definitely under the radar. North Carolina needed a furious 2nd half comeback to beat lowly William and Mary last week. Cavs have had for the past few years some of the best recruiting classes in the country and have a solid coach in Groh. Tarheels are simply outclassed in this one.
Virginia 56 North Carolina 17
(WIN)
Texas -11.5 - Arkansas was impressive last week vs NMSU but Texas is a different animal in fact a wounded animal looking for payback. Arkansas has no Cobb this year and also will not be overlooked by Horns. Benson and Young are way too much even in this hostile environment.
Texas 35 Arkansas 10
(LOSS)
North Texas -7.5 - Based on last weeks results this looks like another win on the road for Florida Atlantic but I think we should throw last week out the window. North Texas has been the best in Sun Belt for three years running. They will be put last weeks 65-0 loss out of their mind. Florida Atlantic travelled to Hawaii for last weeks game, don't know but probably flew back to Florida (limited practice time), and now must play their 2nd Division 1 game on the road again. I like No. Texas to roll vs road weary FAU.
North Texas 38 Florida Atlantic 7
(LOSS)
Upset Specials:
Ohio +17.5 - The other Ohio U looked sharp in win a week ago while Pitts game was postponed. Pitt will need a half to work out the bugs and by then it may be too late to cover vs underated Ohio. They are definitely live in this one.
Ohio 24 Pittsburgh 17
(LOSS)
New Mexico +4 - Lobos have the running game to negate Leach's offense. Tech offense looked quite ordinary last week vs SMU and now must play a back to back road game against a very underrated quality Lobos team who should have beaten Pac 10 Wash St. This one has upset written all over it.
New Mexico 31 Texas Tech 17
(WIN)
Notre Dame +13.5 - Yes the Irish! They were one dimensional on offense last week as Ryan Grant who is their top player on offense was out. ND were shellacked for their worst loss in this series a year ago and will be up for this one. Michigan is overrated imo and may have freshman starting first game on the road. I like the Irish magic in this one against all odds on paper.
Notre Dame 22 Michigan 19
(WIN-SU)
Other Games:
Nebraska -14.5 - Callahan will get to show off his new passing attack vs Eagles and should cover easily at home as long as Daley avoids his 4 interceptions.
(loss-su)
Penn State -3 - JoPa is back and will prove it on the road in this one. (LOSS)
Iowa State +23 - Cyclones have owned this series of late and considering 3rd string qb may go for Hawkeyes in in state rivalry tells me 23 way too many.
(win)
Oregon -20.5- Ducks home cooking against worst of Big 10 in Indiana. Last weeks blowout win vs Central Michigan was definitely an abberation.
(LOSS)
Colorado St. +25 - CSU offense is too well balanced to get beat on road by nearly 4 touchdowns. Houston should have big game and eat up some of the clock for Rams.(LOSS)
I may have a few more later on tonight. Best of luck.
